This case fit both my 2021 and 2022 perfectly! No change in iPad Pro 12.9 size.

So does this not connect to a magic keyboard then?

It would connect to any Bluetooth keyboard just fine. The Magic Keyboad needs access to the connector in the back of the iPad, which become covered with this case.
