Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT Solar Charge Controller (Bluetooth) - Charge Controllers for Solar Panels - 100V, 15 amp, 12/24-Volt

With the phone app and Bluetooth connectivity, this controller is the best I've ever used. I was using other controllers with the digital screens until the purchase. The app provides a significantly better experience than any digital on-controller screen could. Victron is my new go-to brand. This controller is used to manage the electric fence around my cattle pastures - I need something reliable to keep the cattle in and the wild hogs out.

I installed this in my off-grid workshop a year ago. It has worked flawlessly. Great value.

Victron for the win ! It’s a no brainer, easy to manage through the app . I use multiple charge controllers in multiple locations for years . Won’t use any other brand . Never had a failure . (Knock on wood)

This solar charge controller comes with Bluetooth and is a bit higher in price than the competition, but for good reason. Victron makes high quality products and backs them up with a 5-year warranty and support. You can adjust the amount of power it delivers to your batteries too. I have 800w of panels in a somewhat low light area and I'm able to bring in a solid 430w of power at the 15A charge setting (max for this controller) even in low light. Just don't go over the Voltage rating. 100V is a HARD limit, meaning if you surpass it, it will damage the controller. I'll need to upgrade it soon so I can get all the available power from my panels. I also love the integration between the different products and the open source nature of the company. The fact I can use a Raspberry Pi to run Victron's Venus OS and any good quality USB to TTY serial adapter to connect it all is a HUGE win for Victron. The phone app is also well designed and they even offer free logging of your data to their VRM web portal. I'll be coming back to Victron for more stuff in the near future.

I purchased this little Smart Solar MPPT charge controller specifically to allow me to connect a smaller folding panel array to my camper van. My van has 600 watts of panels on the roof running through a Victron Smart Solar 100|50 MPPT charge controller, along with a Victron Smart Shunt and an Orion Smart dc to dc charger. This will give me the ability to add another 200-300 watts to my system while parked. The Victron products synchronize beautifully and have never given me any trouble. And, yes, you can have 2 charge controllers supplying one battery bank ...5120 watt hours and using 80 % . Very happy.

This is a good little MPPT Controller, Bluetooth, efficient and does what it's supposed to do . It also has a Load Output to prevent from draining your battery flat. My only gripe is the specs say the terminals can accept 10AWG or 6mm2. While a bare, stranded 10AWG wire will fit, if you use Ferrules, it will not fit in the terminal. The largest wire this controller will take with a Ferrule installed is about 12AWG. I use Ferrules on ALL connections that use a clamp down terminal. I never allow bare strand wire to be clamped down by the terminal. If you do this, it will smash the wire, spreading it apart, and not allow for a secure connection. Yes, it will work but, with the amount of vibration in a Boat or RV, the use of Ferrules will make for a more secure connection. I returned the 100-15 and purchased a 100-30 Smart Solar MPPT. The 100-30 is the smallest Controller that will accept 6AWG Ferrules. I use 4AWG wire and crimp on 6AWG Ferrules. Works perfect and when cut apart to inspect, the copper is so tight, it's almost welded together from the amount of force the ferrules crimp down. FYI, the wire and crimp tools I use are from TemCo. While this controller doesn't need anything bigger than 12AWG wire, I always oversize my conductors for low loss and room for expansion (Future Proofed). Hope this helps someone make the proper choice for their application.

Using this to replace the solar charge controller that was supplied as standard in my caravan. Easy to install and easy to use. This controller certainly gets much better performance out of my solar panel than the original one did

High end unit, replaced an old pwm and the system got muck more effective, surpasses the old peak when cloudy, easily. The bluetooth is good as well.
