A good remastering
Fans of older music will often notice that if you play an original song it will sound very quiet compared to modern music. While you can crank it up and enjoy the dynamic range from the period it does make it hard to play a random mix of music as the old and new stuff comes out at different volume levels. This has the modern sound without seeming to lose anything in the process.
