Son uses to make smoothies/protein drinks Easily blends frozen fruit and ice It is a bit noisy but it’s powerful and does the job .only used manual setting so far So easy to put together everything smoothly clicks into place .The 3 blades are much better than one easy to take out too wash It’s light although durable and easy to clean The jug is plastic rather than glass which does make it lighter I wanted a glass one but this will do perfectly no issues so far and would recommend

The Ninja Detect is excellent. It is quiet and quickly blends food items. The three well-positioned blades are placed in a way that ensures all food is blended efficiently. I used it on the day it was delivered to blend some Chinese takeaway (including soup, special fried rice, chow mein and chicken wings - bones removed) for someone with TMJ. I put the soup and the desired amounts of the other items in and hoped for the best. I pushed the button and while I marvelled at how quiet it was, it blended everything perfectly. It didn't take a minute! This is a real game changer. Recommended for anyone with TMJ and general food preparation.

I annoyingly ordered the blender without the single serve attachment (completely my fault) but rather than going through the faff of sending it back and reordering, I rang Ninja customer service and ordered the attachment directly over the phone. They were super helpful. I couldn't wait for this to be delivered, so I decided to go ahead and make a smoothie in the large attachment (and as other reviews have pointed out, this blender is LARGE). I used to have a Nutribullet that sounded like a jet engine (it wouldn't actually leave my ears ringing) and would smell like burning electrics when I put anything frozen in there. This Ninja is on a different level. It chopped through frozen berries like they weren't even there, and my smoothie was so smooth. It is still fairly noisy, but nothing like my Nutribullet. And the detect function is pretty cool.
