Odd design. Not strong enough.
I'm 240 pounds and while this ladder held my weight it felt like it would collapse at any second. It felt like it could have been stronger if designed a little different.

Sketchy, Unsafe
We picked this up to leave in our kitchen to reach high cabinets. We wanted a step stool that was somewhat decorative, so this seemed like a good option. No assembly is required, but you'll likely need to modify this for it to be safer. There are other listings for this ladder on Amazon, and some of them have less than stellar reviews. The biggest concern is that others have had this break while using it.That isn't a surprise to me. When I first stood on this I was highly worried it would break. There are multiple issues. This does not have feet on it; it is just bare wood. This comes with fabric socks to prevent scratching, but those are almost worse. When standing on this, this feels like it wants to fold flat. With weight on this, the legs slip out. Not having rubber feet allows this to slip on hard surfaces; it might fair better on carpet. The carpet would also provide some cushioning if this collapsed. The slippage puts a lot of strain on this, and it makes scary sounds like it is on the verge of breaking. To help prevent that, I added ladder/hinge supports. You can see those in the picture: they are the black metal hinges. I also added rubber pads to the wood feet end. This prevents the legs from kicking out. Between those two modifications, this feels so much safer. I was unwilling to use this until I modified it. One other mod I made was to put round wood stickers over the various holes so it looks more finished.Overall this is ok once modified. I highly recommend not buying this unless you plan to modify it. If you are very heavy, you should probably look for something else too. If anything goes wrong, I'll update this review.

Nice Step Ladder
After a week it appears to be a sturdy, attractive and versatile piece of casual equipment. Folds easily enough to be put out of sight yet still readily accessible. Used in a bedroom closet.

Only for small people
Looks great but it is NOT STURDY enough . It wobbles a lot regardless of correct installation . Great only for 100 lbs and below person .
