This is a superb replacement for your cork for you bottle of wine. It fits perfectly and a few pumps (a bit too many as the bottle gets used more) and it perfectly takes the air out and stores it just finethe date function- hmmm, I find no perticular use for it, it's there so use it if you want. It looks dapper on the bottle and it's easy to open. Cons - just one , if you are keeping the bottle in the fridge, then I suggest re-pumpingnthe air out ever few days, however that's something you can overlook !

Great product I recommend it

The IDEA is good and the product well-made. What's a bummer is that it doesn't fit all bottles. In my case it didn't fit about half the wine bottles I tried it on. As a gift to my son-in-law it was a disaster! So, it was good that both of us had the conventional pump and plugs. When it did fit a bottle, the seal was fast and effective. The "date-of-seal" feature is a novelty but not particularly useful. I like the product, so it's with a heavy heart that I give it a low rating. To raise this rating to outstanding, I have a suggestion: Taper the plug. That way, the wine stopper should fit most bottles. It's cheap so it's good value for money reverb if it doesn't fit all sizes.

I was skeptical if these things work, but I bought and used it on one of my wines. I took it to the extreme and had this in the bottle for nearly a whole month and on normal room temperature, no refrigeration. To my surprise the wine tasted the same, as it did, on the day it had been opened. Impressed!

Good quality. Suitable for cork wine bottles . Nit for champaign.
