AD BBQ Tools Fire Starter with 3-Position Switch

I purchased this after my looft lighter stopped working. The looft lighter worked great and lasted a couple years with heavy year round usage. I chose this lighter hoping the dual speed might decrease the time needed to spread the fire to surrounding coals. However, I can't honestly see any advantage with the second blower speed. Aside from the 2nd blower speed, I can't see any difference between the two products. Hopefully this lighter will last at least as long as the looft lighter.

Well I was really in love with this lighter for my ceramic grill, until it went out. It made it 11 months. I really enjoyed it while it lasted. If there is a warranty to replace it(which I doubt there is) then I would highly recommend this product, if not I probably wouldn't spend the money unless you are fine with under a years use.

The package arrive quickly and in excellent condition as always from Amazon.com. The Fire Starter is amazing. I purchased it for my husband's birthday and he was very excited about it, thankfully it was cold enough outside to warrant having a fire in the fireplace and the Fire Starter worked perfectly and started the fire much better than we have been able to do this year, it seems like our wood still may be a little green but that didn't stop the Fire Starter, it was the best fire we have had all season. Seriously. Then my husband tried it on the charcoal grill and it worked great for that as well. He is very happy with the Fire starter.

Good product, however the tip just melted. Can the manufacturer send me a replacement?

The starter works as advertised, however the end that it closest to the fire melted. It probably would have been a good idea to make the casing that surrounds the heating coil a higher grade metal that does not melt...

I bought two, one for home and vacation home. The thing is amazing. I use for charcoal and fireplace. I see some negative reviews on quality. My first one is two years old with no issues. it may be a user error or they got a bad one. It works excellent on both wood and charcoal.. Starts fire in less than two minutes with wood faster with charcoal.

This was bough April 2014 and worked well until it died Aug 2016. Used almost weekly during the Spring through Fall months.

This was purchased as a Father's Day present for a barbeque loving Dad. He had been eyeing one of these for some time, and it was time to treat him. He has mentioned how quickly and well this works for him. It has been nick named "the blow torch". And through a careful QA process of sampling his meals, I can say with assurance that this tool kicked off many a quality meal.
