I am completely obsessed with knife sharpening, I do it every day, I own a sharpening business and I do all, every single knife, thousands a year by hand so I need to have confidence in the stones I use. The amount of water stones available now is staggering, it can definitely be overwhelming for people trying to decide which are the best stones to spend their money on.Although I’ve been sharpening knives for a while, I never could get a knife quite this sharp using other stones. The "best" in my opinion would have to go to this Home Pro Shop waterstone... There is a lengthy explanation regarding this topic but suffice it to say that at 6,000 grit, your knives can be made extremely sharp.I would recommend this product for both beginners and advanced sharpeners. The set gives you all the needed elements to progress into your sharpening journey, working with different grits, mastering pressure levels… without investing too much at first. This whetstone is by far the best I used!.

First off I want to say that they are a very good company to work with, and definitely stand behind their products to the fullest without any hassles. Myself, who probably demands more than many, trying to be a perfectionist in my work, did not find that the 6000 grit would not give me the mirror polish I was looking for. Mind you it did sharpen the knife very well, and you do not need a mirror polish on your knives in order for them to work well, so I think this kit will make just about everyone very happy! They honored their guarantee on the product without question. So yes I would yes yes to the product, and definitely yes to the company! Tom

The stone seems to do a pretty good job. I don't really like that they put their logo directly on the fine grit side of the stone, but it hasn't seemed to have any negative effects so far.The accessories really aren't that great. The cut resistant gloves are definitely sub-par, in the workplace I've seen much better ones that are very inexpensive. The "stone on a handle" wears out very quickly. I suppose it does its job, but it is pretty cheap. The wood base/rubber thing aren't necessary, but use them if you wish.

only dislike is the glove that came with the kit was a bit small for me, Sharpening stone was simple and produced a really sharp knife when used correctly , although product was simple to use i don't recommend this product for beginners without first being shown how to safely hold and handle knives or other tools to be sharpened as the end product can be very sharp

Wow the stone itself is amazing. The bonus items makes the whole package WONDERFUL! Got this for my boyfriend and he was really happy with the quality of all the items! Even the gloves are awesome! I'm from a small town and don't get out much so the grips being inside the gloves are new to me and blew my mind!

they look good...is that square oblong stone for sharpening or is that a mud stone for the stones?I planned on putting a razor edge on my 2 straight razors, but they dontt really shave my face yet, but on arm and leg to prep for tattoos it worked fine...can you suggest which stone i need for razor sharpness?i saw a 30 k stone...how high do they go?mine is orange bt not sure the grit...its smoother than the 10 k i got from youany help is appreciated
