Thrustmaster Ferrari Red Legend | Racing Game Wheel | PC/PS3

I always had a thought to buy a wheel and try it with my gaming. My preference was on Logitech g27 but unable to go for it due to budget constraints. Then they discontinued G27 and new G29 came into play which was also not under my budget. Then all of a sudden I thought to give it a try. Without further thinking I purchased it and now my while gaming experience got changed. It's really a valuable product and totally brought my gaming experience to a new level. I liked to play ATS and ETS2. It served the purpose more than I thought. The feel and grip it amused me. I never tried the premium wheels so I cannot compare it with them but it's for those who has less investment. Only drawback is it doesn't have force feedback but I dint miss it so bad. The wheel was tight enough in cornering and the pedals are of neat and sturdy. more than that you can adjust the wheel sensitivity and the pedal alignment. I even tried grid autosport and dirt3 which are all very best with these wheel. Only thing is it takes some time to configure it for your taste. Once done it's all set to give it's best gaming experience. My suggestion is GO for it if you need a beginner wheel and it's damn cheap for the quality it offers.

Got this wheel delivered in 24 hours to Chennai. It's a basic wheel and works as advertised. The wheel itself is plastic with two rubber grips on the sides for good grip. The wheel has 11 buttons and a D-pad. The pedals are good. Though the grip on my floor was bad had to keep a wooden block to prevent it from moving especially while applying the brakes. I bought this wheel for two games, Euro Truck Simulator 2. The wheel does the job perfectly, it took my experience from just a game (using 360 controller for windows) to a simulator (using this wheel). A must buy for ETS2 and ATS fans (though for FF and other features if you have the money go for the G29 or the G27)

The product finish and quality is good but the biggest problem is that it doesn't work. The product was delivered on 11th May and till today I am struggling and working with Thrustmaster support team. So far, no luck. Let's see if it works. First it was found that driver is not properly installed. Now, driver is installed properly but still Wheel is not detected by any car racing game. It has become a problem for me. It shows this product is non returnable so neither i can return nor it is working. I am using Lenovo laptop with Windows 10 OS. Before buying i had seen couple of youtube videos in which i saw that those guys just connected and it worked. So, i thought it's quite simple and it will be good for my son but it has become headache from day 1.

Bought this wheel primarily for iRacing, and it works like a charm on my PC. I plugged it in, made sure the switch was on PC mode, and did not have to configure any software, it worked right out the box. The pedals are very light but work well, I will probably secure them to a piece of plywood (as other reviewers have suggested) so they don't slide around on my carpet. The wheel itself has a great feel in your hands, and the paddle-shifters have satisfyingly clicky but also somewhat loud tactile-feedback. It's also a very handsome peripheral, with Ferrari red handles and the Ferrari prancing horse emblem emblazoned in the center of the wheel. There are a lot of buttons that can be customized and re-mapped - they seem to correspond with the buttons on a PlayStation 3 controller but I use them in iRacing for menu control, replay control, and text chat. While the wheel only turns 90 degrees in any direction, it is comfortable and the sensitivity can be adjusted. The mounting bracket took me a moment to figure out, but it sits securely on my desk - and it's easy enough to detach in case you don't want to use it. All in all, the Red Legend Edition seems to be a great starter wheel for any aspiring sim racer. For me, the price was just right at ₹4000 - much more attractive than the ₹18000 pricetag of the Thrustmaster T150 Pro though this is clearly a cheaper wheel. If you have the money for a better wheel I would recommend doing that - but the Red Legend wheel is perfect in it's own regard - an entry-level, Ferrari-branded Thrustmaster racing wheel.

OMG Quality is so so good in this price i bought it for 3,500 there is zero/0 percent of latency And No Lag in games I played NFS,Forza Horizon 4 , samulations and GTA 5 with installing mod for streering When u played one time with it u will 100% loved it after using it i dont need 360 degree rotation one streering and this streering is good, And for it price its giving more then its price if u r still confused simply buy it 100% u will like it.....Value for money product.

Fantastic wheel! Bought it for my 6 year old who is crazy about cars, and I too have been hooked on to it :D It works well with almost all the racing games (DIRT3, F1 2013 were the ones i tried) on PC and the set up is fairly easy. The mechanism for screwing this to the table is fairly solid, i hope it lasts a good 5 years so that I can recover all the investment i made in it. I haven't had a lot of use for the foot pedals- my son finds it difficult to reach them....and so i made the pedal shifters works as accerlator and break. That config works well for me too, I'm happy with this purchase.

The wheel is okay in quality. It is made of plastic and has rubber grips on its sides.There is no force feedback. The more you turn the stiffer it gets, The Pedals are lightweight and substandard. Unless your pedal is kept on a carpet or you are sitting in correct driving posture, the pedals will often move if you press them too hard. Unfortunately, my pedals stopped working after a month and after a week of negotiating with Thrustmaster warranty officials, I was given a full refund by Amazon. The product is really good for any kind of racing simulation game. Just mind it the wheel only rotates 90° on each side. But after playing several games with it, I really don't find any issue ragarding this less rotation angle. While you connect the wheel and start a game, the game will automatically configure the sensitivity. So no need to configure the sensitivity. I will say if you are a low budget gamer, then you can go for it. Ohh, one more thing, the paddles are quite excessively angled. So, try to keep a extended leg space. P.S. : I'm writing this review after playing the under noted games: 1. Need For Speed Most Wanted 2012 2. Need for speed The Run 3. The Crew 1 4. The Crew 2 5. American Truck Simulator 6. Euro Truck Simulator 2 7. Dirt 3 8. F1 2014 9. Project Cars 1 10. Project Cars 2 Primarily the wheel is kind of stiff but after playing with it for several days it will get smooth.

Not working waste of money

It is fun for trucking simulator and racing games

I am a big fan of Simulators (Truck sim, Bus Sim ect) and I have always wanted a steering wheel to enhance my experience. I dont have a lot of money for the high end wheels, nor would I think that it would have been worth it (if I were a pro streamer maybe?) But anyway what made me pick this one over the others. Well I had a price range in mind and this one was slightly over but because I got given an amazon voucher I went for it. I was looking for wheels in the £40-50 price range and saw some, but then read the reviews... they didnt speak highly of some of the cheaper (£30) models. I saw this one has a much more acceptable rating, read the good and bad reviews and made my judgement. Am I dissapointed? No. The wheel is sturdy, feels like it has some proper weight to it (you have to have one hand on the wheel) it doesnt have force feedback (although some games think it does, must be a generic chipset controller they use just not wired up?) It does have its own way of auto-centering. The face buttons are all in nice reachable positions, apart from the 3 in the bottom middle of the wheel but then these are meant to be the PS3 home, start and select buttons. The flappy-paddles are nice, albeit very noisy click sounds but thats no real problem. The steering wheel only has 180degree rotation, which is perfect if you are coming straight from analogue controllers to be honest, you be used to the wheel in game turning a little more than you are tilting stick (if you understand me there) The pedals are well built and feel like proper pedals, although a bit more weight in the base would have been nice. They are very responsive too. Windows 10 detected and installed the steering wheel with no problems, ETS2 is great with it (real reason I bought it) still yet to try it with other games but I am sure I can get it to work. Bus Simulator 16... I couldnt get on with the controller as it feels there is a lot of (in-game) steering wheel movement before the wheels engage. Like you have to do one full rotation before the wheels start turning. Probably just something in my settings and with Bus Simulator 18 just around the corner, I am not too fussed about it either at the moment. Would I recommend this? Well first impressions are good, I just hope it stands the test of time and still performs well in a couple of years time. I havent tested on PS3 yet, or for PS4 compatibility, I would be very happy if this works on PS4, especially for PS VR racing games... I will get back to you on that one. You can't beat this product for the price. I have the similar wheel for the X-Box 1. I can confirm that this one DOES NOT have Force Feedback (and who would expect that at this price-point...). I can also confirm that it works flawlessly with both the PS4 and PC. Yes, it is made of plastic, yes it's a smaller steering wheel, No id doesn't have force feedback, but for Pete's Sake: IT'S A $80 STEERING WHEEL!!! You want all the options and High Grade construction? go spend $500+! Me? I'll be buying games on Steam and racing my butt off and having a blast! (This thing rocks on Dirt Racing games...).
