1911 Front Strap Grip Tape (2-Pack)

Great price for a great product that I was able to easily install on my 1911 without any challenges -- other than figuring out that I needed to remove the grip panels so the adhesive piece can wrap around the frame plus be held securely in place once the grips are reinstalled. My son-in-law noticed their presence immediately when I showed him my 1911 for the first time, no prompting from me. Good stuff!

I have a Rock Island double stack 1911 and this actually fits it perfectly. I knew the grips were for single stacks only, but if you turn it upside down it actually works perfectly for a double stack. I cleaned the surface with alcohol like it said too and slapped it on. The adhesive seems strong enough. May have issues with the corners raising up down the road, but for 5 bucks (for two pieces) who can really complain about that? As far as the texture, it's a bit rougher than you'd expect. It's more like a rough grit sandpaper than something rubbery like a Talon or Foxx grip. It definitely will grip to your hand, no doubt about that. And it also looks pretty nice on your gun, too. So that's a bonus if asthetics are important to you. I have a single stack TRP with the front checkering but may slap this on the front of it, too. The grip is definitely "grippy." Lol

Best option I've ever used. Aggressive sand paper texture, approx 50 grit. Easy installation. Two per package.

Added it to an older slick front 1911 and the grippiness went up considerably. Very comfortable in the hand with small sand grain size. Just enough to make a solid grip and not coarse enough to strip your skin off like a belt sander. If you don't want to shell out $100+ for engraving it, use this.

Fit perfectly on my Colt Government model. I don't have a checkered front strap so this product improved my grip greatly. Liked it so much that I installed it on the front and rear strap of my Star PD.

This solves an little issue I've had with my 1911, a slippery grip. Well, took off my grips, applied this tape, let it cure for a few hours, and then reapplied my grips. Now the firearm is more controllable when shooting. There is no more concern about what would happen if water, oil, or blood, or whatever got on the grips. It's simple, and cheap. Just order it.
