Smaller than I anticipated (by a lot), but a pretty cool nightstand lamp. (Product is probably true to dimensions listed, just looked bigger in the pics!) Great flame effect, strong magnet, charge lasts a long time, and the flame effect is awesome. Turning upside down is cool to see it switch directions.I purchased several flame effect bulbs and products at the same time, and this one is by far the best, and most durably made.

At a casual glance, it's a nice lamp and flickering looks good through the metal shade provided. However... the "flames" flickering is on the same pattern that repeats every 2 seconds. It would have been nice it it was randomized to mimic real-life flames, but maybe we need to wait for the next generation of these lights, or pay more than $16... :) Also, the gravity sensor (at least on the lamp I received) didn't work most of the times--a couple of times the flames changed directions when held upside down, but most of the times the flames flickered from top to bottom when held upside down. Not a big deal to me since I'm planning on using it the regular side up, but still.Not bad for the price, and my kids will love the novelty of it.Edited 12/13/18:I changed the rating from the original three starts to four stars. I've found that the two-second repeat pattern of the flames is really not noticeable unless you are staring at the lamp. As a part of room's ambiance, it blends in nicely and you really don't notice the repeating patterns that much.

This flame-effect little light produces such a pretty flickering light. It can be used alone or put in a decorative vase/urn. Right now I'm using it as an accent/night light on a back corner of my tub in my hall bathroom. It really makes a lovely display. The flickering might bother people who are sensitive to pulsing light though if it is not inside another vessel. I find it very pleasant.

The media could not be loaded.  It operates as described. The flickering is a bit too quick and jittery for me.

Works exactly as described. Looks like a pretty realistic flame (much larger and brighter than a candle flicker). I love that this is cordless and rechargeable. Great for outdoors, holiday decorating, and centerpieces. The shade can be removed, allowing the lamp to fit inside other shades. The bulb itself is narrower than other bulbs.Minor drawbacks: I've purchased other LED flame effect bulbs, and while this one is comparable, the flame effect is slightly less random, giving it more of a rhythmic pulse than others. Probably not even noticeable unless you're staring directly at it for a prolonged period. Another minor complaint is that the charge doesn't seem to last as long as other USB flame effect bulbs. Still, a very long time. 8+ hours.

I was just looking for a night lamp but this special one just showed up on my searching results. It looks very special, mysterious and it has a ancient feeling. I love my decision.

Great to use around kids and pets instead of candles.

Illuminates like a burning flame. Love the auto shut off feature.
