Just fine!
Works just fine with no issues at all, and quite cheap.

Works well but fiddly to install
This sensor looks and works really well, the sensor head is very adjustable to look where you want it to and the light sensitivity and ON time adjustment are all very good. The physical mounting is also quite straightforward but you should be aware the price you pay for a small sleek device is a very small area for the electrical connection. There is no chance of taking the twin and earth supply directly to this, you will need to come from a junction box with a thinner flex to connect and allow the unit to mount on its base.Other than this it is a very good unit.

Vert & horiz adjustment + IP65 totally good!
IP 65 obviously I wont expect water penetration on this PIR device. The vertical and horizontal adjustment is actually very well thought out, perfect for my needs and exactly what I bought it for. I think this is the only one that has this adjustment and certainly with IP65 rating, that I've come across. I don't know how these can be made at such a low price because it is an excellent high quality PIR. Only had it a few days but so far the detection is really good. The one thing which I don't like is the tight cable entry area but as long as the wires are tidy and outer sheathing is prepared properly its fine, I wouldn't change it from what it is. Today I will buy another one these to replace another brand which is only a week old but isn't as sensitive as I'd expect. It will be fitted under the eaves on a normal semi detached in the driveway pointing down. I'm confident this one will be better at area detection, will soon know. Time will tell but all round this PIR gets very full 5***** from me.

Not a nightmare to install at all
As has already been written in a previous review, just pull the chocolate block free from its two retaining lugs, wire up with all the ease in the world, and then set the chocolate block back in its retaining lugs.I did this twisted awkwardly back on myself in a dark corner of a cupboard, on top of a ladder. The wire tails were cut without any slack as a result of the previous installation that had failed, but even with this constraint it was no problem. If you keep the chocolate block in situ, yes, it will be a total nightmare but this is unnecessary. As to functionality, the device works as expected for my purpose of switching on a 240v LED lighting bar when a hallway cloakroom door is opened. The sensor is high to the left of the door, but still it switches the light bar on as soon as the door is opened.

The wiring box is too small...
This is a five star product in every way except the small size of the wiring (junction) box - as stated frequently in the feedback section here. You will need to be really quite adept at wiring in a confined space if you are to find this easy at the top of a rickety ladder fixing it to your security light’s electric supply. This was fitted by an expert electrician and he agreed with the electricians who have fed back her that installation that maintains weather resistance is not for the inexperienced. The clue is that the seller has asked for the "sheerness" to be scored by the reviewer (me). Because it is too sheer, I scored it one star for that. It is certainly a discrete product and it works really well and it’s weather sealing is reassuring when studied first hand and it is also excellent in practice (high up in UK Pennines where 4 previous products IP65 have failed within 12 months in prevailing weather). But that’s only because the electrician spent 30 minutes working out how to sort out the junction box whilst keeping the seals.

Fiddly to fit, but possible
It takes a little time to fit:- It's only really got space for 3+1 cable- The wires need to be trimmed reasonably short. It's not too bad but there's no room for spare lengths of wire- The earth needs wrapping with tape- The connector block needs to end up being the right way round to clip into two plastic prongsThis allows you to push the case tight and screw in a very small screw into a hard to align hole without dropping it.It's all possible. It would have been easier with a bit more space and the fastening screw on top.If this freaks you out, connect a short length of cable to the PIR when down on the ground, stick it through the wall, then connect it with a maintenance free junction box.

Not easy to install but then its cheap
I've got used to the fact that you get what you pay for in terms of quality. Its not a bad product but you can see why its cheap as the plastic construction is.....well cheap.I would also guess that its not designed by anyone who's had to install it in a UK building where the usual lighting circuit uses 1.5mm2 solid conductors. The backplate is not very strong and if you have a wall that's not smooth and flat it will distort which makes it hard to attached the front sensor module. The space into which the wiring has to fit is not very big and most of this is taken up by the connector block. I found it impossibile to get the 1.5mm2 wiring through the backplate hole and into the connector block and then fit the two halfs together. The solid house wiring obviously doesn't flex and is bulky and the connector block gets in the way.In the end I used a smaller connection block I had and cut off the two plastic pins that hold the original one in place. This gave me much more space and the whole thing went together at last.I have reservations about it being rated at IP65 as the backplate has no gasket material to prevent ingress of water in particular. Time will tell but I added some silicon sealant around the backplate.I'll come back later and report how well its working now that the nights are drawing in.
