aFe Power #TR-3001B Takeda Open Element Intake

Easy install and really cleans up the engine bay. The finish on the intake pipe is nice. I am not a fan of the chrome ones. It cleans up very easily. I still don't know about the whole dry oil filter deal but where I drive dust, and small air particulates are not an issue. My only qualm is that the crank breather hose has to be trimmed and is left pretty much kinked when installed because of its position on the intake tube. The intake noise is increased and quite nice especially past 3.5k. Does it make more power? Seat of the pants may say a couple, but only a dyno would tell.

(2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe) - I'm in the process of upgrading my long time daily driver and was very skeptical that I would be able to tell any appreciable difference with this simple change-out, but the increase in throttle response and slightly deeper, throatier noise from the stock intake is easy to notice (not magically HUGE difference, but you'll notice if you're changing from stock and no other mods). First the packaging was perfect and everything arrived in 1 box with simple, step-by-step instructions that take all the guesswork out of the equation. I've never done any aftermarket work on my car and this was Super easy to install. The fitment was great (no issues) and the black finish looks badass. I took my car out for a spin immediately after and drove it into work this morning; not only is there a noticeable difference in throttle response, but my car actually drives smoother. The product quality is great. I'd highly recommend this Intake and I'm so happy I bought it!

Took about 30 mins to install in 04' 350z. Just make sure you take off the engine sway bar first as the instructions only shows the G35 (same motor). Performance wise: It does increase the throttle response when at a higher RPM and makes a cool little chirp as well. Overall it was a great price and works and will give you a little extra HP. Well worth the price when compared to all the other CAI that cost double and you have to watch out for water and such

Installed on 2003 Nissan 350Z. Got the black version - good finish and overall product quality very good. Set aside two hours to assist my son installing this on his vehicle, but even at a snail's pace, we were done in 45 minutes. On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being easy and 10 being difficult), this might be a 2 at best. 10mm socket and not much else needed. Beware: I was about spray on some K&N air filter oil by reflex from past use with these types of air filters when my son noticed a small warning that said not to oil the air filter. So, don't oil the air filter. Fitment was excellent - everything lined up perfectly. Definitely custom made for this vehicle.

Flawless packaging. The intake comes in its box inside an amazon box. Easy installation! Installed in about 30 mins more or less. When I took my Z for a test drive, the difference is noticeable immediately when you hit the gas! Sounds almost like a V8! So it has a great sound, also gives it a slight sound of a supercharger or turbo as well so that's a plus. I noticed a little loss of power at about 1-2500rpms but compensated from 2500rpm and up. Definetaly feel that power boost! I recommend this to anyone trying to get a power boost while making their car sound meaner!

Beautiful because its built rock solid, its completely made of aluminum including the tab that mounts to the side of intake and the mount for the sensor is milled to perfection. The only thing you should be aware of is the crank case hose on this tube is located underneath (makes it look sleek on your ride) however this means the hose ends up slightly twisted. I don't see this being and issue as the hose does not kink. Again just something to be aware of. I'm very happy with this intake. Only things that could make it better is if it were cheaper. Nice upgrade from the factory intake.

PROs-Simple to install1 hour if you don't drop tools to bottom of car, makes bone stock car sound incredible (like a crotch rocket but meatier) after 3-4000 RPMS, Can immediatley feel power to wheels, and can hear the intake hiss as you step on the gas and almost like a turbo when you shift just not as loud, gas will be fine if you granny drive but almost impossible. CONs-Gas consumption is noticeable,Sore face from smiling too much, showing off, angry wife when she sees how much you paid for it, race a Cadillac STSV-470hp and get smashed after both reaching 30mph.

despite what the description may say, I can personally testify that this system does not fit cars with a circular MAF which were common on the very first models. One star because of the wrong information in the description

Definitely like it. It’s what I expected and my suv sounds nice.
