Update 11/19/2025: This lamp stopped working today, it just won't turn on. I turned it off last night and tried to turn it on today and nada. I tried 2 different light bulbs in it and still doesn't work. I bought it in February 2025 and it is November 2025. 10 months, it worked for only 10 months. I had LED bulbs in it so it can't be from overheating. I haven't dropped it, or abused it. It has sat on my desk. It just stopped working. Don't purchase this lamp it worked well for a while and failed without warning. I won't buy this brand again!! I like this little lamp. But I liked my old one better, I am looking for a lamp kit to repair the old one. This little lamp bends only in the top half of the stem. My old one would bend anywhere from the base to the top and any which way, I think the socket in my old one finally gave up the ghost, It was 10 years old or so, but I'm going to see if I can get a lamp kit for it, until then this one is a good stand in. It was priced decently. It's a decent lamp for a decent price, however I believe it was on sale when I bought it. I like the on/off switch where it is on the top of the lamp base. It is easy to turn on and off. The light bulb doesn't flicker at all when it's on, that I can see. The materials seem to be of good quality even at half the size of my old one. I'm not impressed with the way the goose neck is designed, like I said it only bends at the top not the whole length of the goose neck. The utility of this lamp is restricted because of that. The ones closer to what I had are priced at 39.00 to 150.00 and I refuse to pay it.

Using with a 10 watt LED grow bulb to light up the side of my fish tank, amazing results and great to finally find a solution for a bulb that runs extremely hot. My 10 watt LED grow bulb puts out a massive amount of heat for such a small bulb, and I could not put it on any kind of Base or build any kind of sturdy and dependable wait to prop it up to light up my fish tank, so I took a chance on this gooseneck lamp and for over a month it has not had a single hiccup. I like the fact that it focuses the brightness appropriately, the build quality of the metal seems good, but most importantly the area around the bulb is cool enough to touch, which is amazing considering how much heat the bulb puts out. I would definitely order these from my other tanks! And since I don't use dimmer switches I like the fact that it's an easy on-off switch at the base of the lamp which has inappropriate amount of weight so it will not shift or tip over.

I was looking for a compact lamp for my reading corner, and I ended up choosing the Simple Designs LD1003-BLK. The design of the lamp itself is, well, quite plain, really simple. But I didn’t intend to admire it; I need it for reading in the evenings. It’s a classic and very affordable lamp. I mentioned the black color earlier, and the flexible neck is also handy: the 60-watt bulb is pretty bright, and I can easily tilt the lamp so it doesn’t strain my eyes. In a few reviews here, people mention that this lamp has survived multiple falls, and that's true—although it’s made of inexpensive materials, it’s quite sturdy. Overall, this is the most ordinary desk lamp in the world, without any frills. Cheap and cheerful, and it gets the job done.

This lamp is so easy to set up. It looks nice, and it is great quality. The gooseneck is very good, and it doesn't droop at all. It has held in the same spot for over a month. However, the neck isn't fully attached at the top and bottom, but you can just move it back into position. After I've fixed it, the problem hasen't appeared. It is very bright and works perfectly other than the issue with the gooseneck.

Since I haven't bought the bulb yet, I can't evaluate the performance of this lamp. But I already really like its appearance. A fairly heavy stand will prevent it from jumping around the table or falling over. A flexible stand firmly holds the metal lampshade in a given position. The length of the cord is about 130 cm or 4.3 feet. There are a few minor chips in the coating on the inside of the lampshade, but I hope this will not affect the functionality of the lamp. The price is just great for such a quality item. The lamp is packed in a manufacturer's box, another seller's box, and finally in an Amazon box. Cool! I bought this light to replace a similarly designed one I have had for a long time that stopped working. The switch went bad and it was easier to just get a new one versus trying to repair it - especially a this price point. Believe it or not, as the description states, I bought this lamp for my cat. When I was working from home I had the old one on my desk near my monitor and my cat took to sitting under it while I worked. So much so that I ended up putting a towel on my desk for him to lay on. So he had his spot. I included a picture even though it was the old lamp. But it is virtually the same lamp except for the switch location. This one has the switch on the base of the lamp versus on the top which I like. I think the old design is what caused the switch to eventually fail since the switch was on top of the light, which tends to get pretty warm, so eventually the switch got baked and stopped working. Plus it is a lot more convenient having the switch on the base. Overall it's a well made lamp that is a good fit for a home office where you want a little extra light but not overly bright. The neck is very flexible so you can get it in just the right position too. I also bought a small red heat lamp, so now my cat sits in my empty chair next to the desk where I have the light setup.

I was surprised that the neck was shorter than my old one which I have had for twenty years but during a move it got a bit squashed so it was time to find a new lamp. This is great . The only irritation is when I grab the lamp the neck cover slides up and down with it . Not sure if it’s just my lamp or not . Either way it works , takes a sixty watt bulb which I need and it has a low profile .light and easy to use and I like the switch at the base instead of having one at the head . Overall I am considering buying one more . And who knows it may just last for another 20 years though not made as heavy or with metal it is worth buying so far . This is the first day I have used it . It adjusts well too . And the usb port will come in handy .

I do a lot of sewing and this lamp is GREAT. I can see what I am sewing and fits on my table so well. It is light weight and so easy to use. I recommend this light to anyone. You can use it for a desks, garage, hallway and other areas. I enjoy this light very much. It is perfect for me. I highly recommend to anyone.

Poor quality as the plug is US type and bulb was rotation type

Excelente lámpara, la tengo en mi escritorio y se ve genial, los colores están muy bonitos y combinan con mi escritorio. Funciona como debe de ser, es muy simple de diseño y minimalista lo que a mí me gusta. Creo que el precio es muy barato para el producto ya que a diferencia de muchas del mismo precio o incluso más caras puedes rotarla para apuntar el foco a diferentes direcciones, que es algo que yo buscada. En general recomiendo mucho este producto y recomendaría ponerle un foco rgb para que se vea más impresionante aún.

Hola amigos, la compre para poder estudiar sin necesidad de prender toda la luz del cuarto para mi escritorio es buena, de fiero y resistente. No viene con bombilla pero eso no es problema. Sugiero usar foco blanco (no el tradicional que genera calor ya que se podria calentar) viene con sus leyendas de precaucion. Yo compre un foco de LED en 45 pesos en Walmart, es mejor que los ahorradores blancos tradiciones pero tambien son buenos ya que no generan calor. Lo recomiendo amigos suerte.

Not too much to say about this other than it does the job and is solid for the price. The arm is pretty easy to adjust and stays in place when you adjust it, the paint/finish seems pretty consistent, and it's lightweight. The description says the base is metal yet it feels more like plastic while the bulb area is definitely metal. The switch is easy to use and easy to feel and find in the dark. All in all, I think this is good value and is a solid choice for anyone looking for an inexpensive and basic desk lamp. I probably wouldn't use this in an area like a family or living room where higher end looks might be a priority but for a simple home office, dorm room or bedroom, I think it is does the trick. I'm using mine for backlighting behind my TV. I spent time looking at other options on Amazon but they were all a good bit more in price. Actually kind of impressive this is only $13 given $13 barely buys you anything these days.

I bought this lamp to use on my desk at work, so that I could have extra light for coloring and also to combat the effects of the unnatural light in the room, by using a full spectrum light bulb. My light bulb is 52 watts and works perfectly in this lamp. The flexible neck is great for being able to adjust the light where I want it and the on-off switch on the top is super simple to use, so that I can turn the lamp on and off as often as I need to. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants a nice compact desk lamp.
