Works on much more than coffee equipment
After deep cleaning my Moccamaster, 2 glass and one metal carafe, I was impressed at just HOW clean everything was, even on the outside. I had some leftover, very weak solution and decided to see what it could do on other items in my kitchen. Well- I've never seen anything clean as thoroughly or as quickly. I don't know what the chemical makeup of this stuff is, but it makes anything glass (including windows) stainless steel appliances and anything else, chrome, faux chrome, and most unexpected, plastics shine like new. I just dipped a sponge into the solution, wrung it out, went to town in that room and used one paper towel to lightly rinse and another to dry the places I just cleaned. Works even better than strong white vinegar, yet is more mild on the hands, doesn't stink and doesn't take a very strong solution at all. I cleaned literally everything quickly and including my original coffee setup cleaning, I still have half of a packet left. About a teaspoon full stirred into a home coffee maker is enough to clean it, and one must run clean water through it of course 2-3 times to remove any mild residue. The most impressive cleaning it did was on my thermal carafe, which was much more gross than I ever thought. Shines inside like new. Smaller parts can be left to soak in the solution for a little while to remove any trace of old coffee odors. But don't waste the "waste water" when you clean your coffee parts. There's enough left in there to deep clean your whole kitchen! Even quickly cleans up TV remotes (carefully)!

Outstanding!
I used this to clean some of those round coffee carafes that those brushes never really work on. If I were going to drop a star it would be over the lack of instructions in the box full of packets so I tried it two ways. Once with hot water and once with cold. The cold would probably have worked if I left it longer, but the hot water method was perfect. I put a packet in each pot. I ran hot water in and let them sit on their heated spaces on the coffer maker for about an hour and then dumped them out and rinsed really well. They absolutely shined with no scrubbing at all. All the pots had burnt on layers of coffee in the bottom from shifts going home after work and not turning off the heating plates before heading out. It all came off! No effort involved. That whole salt and ice trick you find when you google ways to clean them doesn't work nearly as well as just letting this work on its own.

Might not get exactly 100 packets!!
Excellent product. There is only 2 reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.1 - I only received 97 instead of the 100 packets.2 - inefficient packing of product. (Lots of wasted space).*provided picture is after the count*

Waitress at the local diner recommended
I had made a comment at a local diner about how good the coffee tasted. The waitress went on to explain how she makes them buy and use this coffee pot cleaner. She gave me one to try at home... it immediately removed the burnt coffee stain on the pot that I could never remove on my own.For a regular pot at home I just used half a package and worked great. Could easily get 2 or even 3 uses from one package.

The absolute best
Be advised that this product comes in packets that are likely too large as a single use for the home coffee maker. Still, this is the BEST cleaner for coffee pots, stainless coffee holders, and even stainless flatware. You will need to modify the directions since you will not be pouring an entire packet of cleaner into a large restaurant-sized coffee maker. I use about one heaping tablespoon for my 5 cup coffee maker. I fill the glass pot with warm water and mix the powder well. If the top on your glass pot is removable, insert it into the pot with the water and cleaner mixture, then allow it to sit for 15 minutes. Replace top on pot, then pour mixture into coffee machine. Let sit again for 15 minutes. Stick a filter in the grounds basket to allow the cleaning mixture to soak in and hit all areas of the basket. Let the machine run the water through, remove and dispose of water, wash glass pot and basket in soapy water, then run a full glass pot of water through the machine again to rinse. You will be AMAZED at how good your coffee tastes doing this once a month. (For machines that make 12 cups of coffee, use two heaping tablespoons of powder.)You know how disgusting those marvelous stainless travel coffee holders get on the inside, right? Well, place one tablespoon of powder in the holder and mix thoroughly with warm water. Let sit 20 minutes or more. Take a dish brush and brush the inside of the holder thoroughly while the mixture is still in the holder. Rinse. To clean the top of the holder, mix one teaspoon of powder in a deep bowl of warm water. Insert cup top so that it is completely covered by the mixture. Let sit 20 minutes. Scrub with brush and rinse.Cleans stainless flatware. You can put a few spoons, forks, or knives that have stains on them in the coffee holder while cleaning the holder, or just mix some powder and warm water in a tall glass and soak the flatware. Flatware may take a bit longer to clean. You won't believe how dull your stainless flatware was until you see how bright it is after cleaning in this. This is the BEST made. Yes, you have to buy a lot of it. Yes, the packets may be too much for one cleaning (put the opened packet in a small, sealing baggie to avoid spillage), but you get so much product for so little money for such GREAT results.
