Good strings.
Last year I had a plan to replace my violin strings. Might have even been 2 years ago. WEll I did the G and then stopped. This year I decided I'm seriously going to replace these strings now well I didn't have a replacement G. So here I am getting a G. Anyhow, these are good strings. You can angst over these things in 100 different ways and what kind of strings to get and what is the wrap and the core and whatever. Everyone's instrument is different. Everyone's bow is different. Everyone's playing is different. These work for me. THey might work for you.

Great Sounding G
The G string is probably my favorite sounding string from this line of strings. Being a beginner I don't know what the best strings in the world are but I really like the sound of this G compared to others I have heard. It has more a warm sound and less metallic than the E string from the same set. Even though for the price you might as well just buy a whole pack but than again if you only need one than no big deal. One problem I did notice is the string vibrates or something and has a strange sound when it does but than again that could be my violin but if not than this would be a three or four star string.

Great step up for intermediate who are wanting to switch ...
Great step up for intermediate who are wanting to switch out from beginner strings or for advance players who do not want to purchase expensive strings. I've used this brand on almost every instrument I've owned and normally enjoyed the sound they produce.

Very good "bang for the buck" for the budget minded.
I've been using these since the 1980's and never had a problem. Good performance for the money, although a bit slow to break in.

I hate this string.
I hate this sting. It was extremely difficult to get the string on the violin because it kept slipping out of the peg and when I finally did get the string in the peg it was really hard to tune because (again) the string kept slipping out of the peg and after all of that the string didn't sound like it was supposed to. Every time I bow on the string it vibrates way too much and it sound like it is mutedAlthough I don't like this string because it didn't work the way that I wanted it too, it could just be because my violin is really cheap and isn't that good.

Great value for the price
These are the only violin strings I will use. They bring a warm tone to my playing and I can tell a huge difference compared with other strings. Great value for the price.

Quality string
At first, I wasn't impressed with the sound quality, but after I "broke it in"(I guess) it sounds much better than my old g-string. It resonates very well in my violin and I'd recommend to anyone.

Decent sounding, durable strings
Still the same great quality that they ever were.I used to like them 25 years ago, and I still like them now. They have a smooth, responsive feel and a nice warm tone that's clear, neither fuzzy nor shrill or squeaky.
