Bring Her Back [4K UHD]

Since nothing interesting is being released in this final month, Bring Her Back is my favorite horror movie of 2025. Being that I'm a lifelong fan of horror movies (I'm in my 50's) it really takes something incredible to win me over. The characters are interesting and the story is deliciously creepy! It gave me moments of visceral discomfort with a few scenes that really made my eyes widen. The film doesn't have many jump scares, but the ones it has are very effective. I especially enjoyed how the well-written story intertwines its supernatural elements with the psychological fragility of one of the main characters. I'm very happy to have Bring Her Back in my personal movie collection. Now go see it!!

An excellent “psycho biddy” horror movie, “Being Her Back” gets an excellent presentation here. The image and sound quality is top notch for the 4 K. The packaging…well…I dislike digipaks even with a hub you can put the disc on. The sound is also top notch with a very nice Atmos and 5.1 pair of mixes.A film about grief and loss, “Bring Her Back” focuses on siblings Piper (who is legally blind) and Andy whose father passes away suddenly. They are put into foster care until Andy is old enough to be Piper’s guardian. Placed with former social worker Wendy (Sally Upton-Piper), things appear off immediately as she is taking care of another child who is mute named Oliver. Wendy just lost her blind daughter so is thrilled to have Wendy if not Andy. Oliver appears autistic but there are far more sinister things at play.The second feature from the Phillipou brothers, the film clocks in at a brisk 99 minutes keeping the action largely focused on Wendy’s home as Piper and Andy adjust. A well crafted thriller (it really is more supernatural thriller than horror movie though it does have its gross out moments), the film may not be for everyone with its themes and approach to the subject matter. Someone expecting a traditional horror movie ie like, say, “Final Destination” will likely not like this film but it plays in an unusual field with choices that make this as much character study and as thriller.Recommended.

A film that lives up to the hype.It’s very rare that someone successfully making YouTube videos would also be excellent horror directors. This is the second outing from the Philippou Brothers, and it’s a literal level up from their previous film.Talk To Me was a great horror film, but the lead character was unlikable, selfish, and genuinely not a good person. Rooting for her wasn’t easy, at all.In Bring Her Back we get characters that are likable, we get scenarios with higher stakes, we get a mystery that keeps us engaged. This is simply well written and visually memorable.THE A24 DISC HAS A DEFECT. This is not due to Amazon, but an actual issue from the pressing by A24. About an hour into the movie (when Oliver is at the counter with the knife) the film starts glitching making watching the scene impossible, yet there are no scratches on the disc at all.WRITE A24 DIRECTLY WITH A COPY OF YOUR RECEIPT AND REQUEST A REPLACEMENT DISC.

This movie ruined my birthday lol it is heavy and scary and I said I was NEVER watching it again and then I bought it and watched it again. My daughter and I both write and watch tons of scary movies and we talk about this one quite often. The guys that made this are exceptional film makers. If you want to watch a movie that will live rent free in your head, get this one!!!

I knew after Talk To Me that Bring Her Back was going to be a great follow up and I wasn’t wrong. This movie is terrifying. The overall tone and visuals really leave you uneasy. The packaging is great and happy to have it added to my collection!

I really like this movie. It’s kind of a rough watch, but it hits all the emotions. The acting is great. Highly recommend!
