I really like the Work Sharp Rolling Knife Sharpener. It’s simple to use and gives very consistent results thanks to the four preset sharpening angles. I was able to sharpen all of my kitchen knives quickly without guessing the angle, which is a big plus. The rolling design feels stable and controlled, and my knives came out noticeably sharper after just a few passes. It works great for both everyday touch-ups and more dull blades. Overall, it’s well-made, beginner-friendly, and a solid addition to any kitchen knife set.

Works well and is easy to use. Puts a good edge on a blade with minimal effort. Easy size to store.

I was excited to find this sharpener and believed it could be the answer to my sharpening woes. I've found that the sharpener works well for larger knives (kitchen) and not well on smaller EDC knives nor small kitchen knives. I've seen reviews that say just the opposite of what I have experienced. Just does not work for my EDCs. The blades will not stay in place. I wish the magnets were more powerful. I am just disappointed in my purchase. Been sharpening knives for about a year now and I did well with it at first. Now, I just can't seen to raise a burr on that edge to save my life. Frustrating. The build quality of the sharpener is up to Cold Steel standards and I have no problem with that. Packaging is exceptional for gift giving needs.

I have been using a pull through disc sharpener for many years and have been very happy with it. Sharpened edges didn’t seem to last very long, but easy to restore. Saw a few reviews for this model, and despite some negative reviews, went ahead and purchased. Absolutely love this approach - provides more feel/control than the pull thru sharpener and the different discs let me customize the work a bit more. A few tips based on the reviews I’ve seen here; 1) the sharp edge of the knife blade goes up! Watch the videos… 2) you dont have apply a lot of force to get a good result, especially with the coarse (320) disc. 3) attach the knife to the base in the middle of the blade, that way the block is supporting the blade for most of the sharpening stroke, with only ~1-2 inches of tip protruding - less bending of the blade tip this way Overall very happy with the purchase - sharpened edges are definitely a bit sharper and although I’ve only used it for most knives once, edges seem more durable as well.

Works but awkward to use if the height of the knife edge is not at the same level as the disk sander. For big knives like a Chinese cleaver, the rolling disk sander has to be put on a higher level surface in order to sharpen the edge of the knife being held by the magnet block.
