About 8 1/2 feet from bottom of pole to the trimmer. Longer for the added saw.

What material is the pole made of?

I don't know what it is made of but the pruner worked great and was very sturdy for trimming 2 large trees.

Is there a stronger blade for this pole saw? The blade that comes with it is weak and wobbly.
