- Dual CS 529 Fully Automatic High End Turntable, Walnut

Extremely happy with my cs529. The auto play/return features, and the repeat functions make it a perfect turntable for playing LP records at home. My only criticism is the clear dust cover is easily scratched. That is typical across all brands, though. Always use a microfiber cloth to clean the dust cover. Paper towels will leave scratches. Other than that it's perfect.

This turntable is really nice. I bought the less expensive one and was disappointed how the needle landed , it landed too far outside the record causing it to hit hard ,when it started so I got this the more expensive one which works great! You can play it loud without the record skipping. The sound is great though just wish the had tech support in the US I can play it loud without me to adjust it which required taking it apart in someway which I should not have to do for that price.

I did not purchase my CS529 from Amazon because it was not available on Amazon at the time I purchased it. But it is such a nice turntable I am enthralled with it. First it is beautifully crafted and the walnut finish exudes a high end turntable which it definitely is. Second it is built with high end components. Not like a ten thousand dollar and up turntable but it utilizes quality components. This is a top quality fully automatic turntable just like quality turntables of the past. But you can manually operate it if you like to start your record by cuing the twin gimbal tonearm to play your record. At the end the tonearm raises, returns to its resting place and the unit shuts off. It utilizes a very heavy platter with a rubber mat. The unit overall functions like a well crafted piece of machinery. You do have to set this unit up by balancing the tonearm, setting the stylus gram pressure and setting the anti skating but the instruction booklet gives you step-by-step instructions with images to go by. I found it very easy to do with the instruction booklet. One thing that will be helpful is to buy a stylus pressure gauge. Very easy to use and there is no second guessing the correct stylus pressure. Once set up I found the supplied Ortofon Red Cartridge to produce a beautiful sound stage. But the best part is you can upgrade to the Ortofon Blue stylus which uses an elliptical nude diamond without changing the cartridge. The blue produces even more detail. Ortofon is a great cartridge but if you prefer a different brand you can do that too. This turntable also has a built in preamp so you can utilize a receiver with no phono connection. You can bypass the preamp if you have one that you like better or if your receiver/amplifier has a phono connection. Very versatile. This turntable also has bluetooth which I don't use but I tried it and it works well. It also can be controlled with the Dual App on your phone. You can start a record to play and stop a record but that is it. I think you can set it to repeat the play. I tried it and it works ok too but I don't use that feature either. So my overall summary is this is a beautiful fully automatic belt drive turntable that is built like the quality turntables in the 70's and early 80's before cd's came on the scene. It also has a third speed for the old 78 rpm records but that requires a separate 78rpm cartridge designed for those records. Cartridges are easily removed from the tonearm. This is not a cheap turntable but it is well worth the money. Dual makes a similar automatic, the CS429 also available on Amazon that does not have bluetooth, the remote app feature and does not utilize the fantastic twin gimbal tonearm and is more cost attainable. Also only a black finish but still a high quality turntable. Then there is the very cost effective CS329, also automatic and a great beginners turntable.

I have the earlier full auto belt drive Dual 103 ... ( !'m over 70 , have used T'tables for 60 years.... prefer concert DVD's) - this is a skimpy product description., -I see from one of the pics this is belt drive. different control setup. for something over $ one thou. -- anyway - I have ' tested ' by holding needle half inch above rotating vinyl disc , 110 w / ch amp at 3 /4 vol position -- NO feedback / hum. none. using traditional RCA cable to receiver's pre amp. ortofon ' blue' a tester mentioned the arm didn't position right - that is adjustable , but... pretty inexcusable

Super Plattenspieler wie die Duals aus den 60er und 70er bin sehr zufrieden damit. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Top verpackt,trotz stark beschädigter und aufgerissener Umverpackung ist der Plattenspieler unbeschädigt angekommen.Lieferung war auch sehr schnell.
