Starbucks Komodo Dragon Blend®, Whole Bean Coffee (1lb)

Nice coffee flavor… full bodied not bitter

My favorite coffee. I tried to have this subscription cancelled due to the increased price but all I could do was make it every 12 months.

I have never been much of a Starbucks fan. But Komodo Dragon has become my favorite home brew. It has a very earthy aroma, and unlike most dark roasts, the flavor isn't overwhelming. While it is expensive, which means I only indulge periodically, it is a nice treat once in a while.

Could not wait to try these beans. My wait was not in vain! It went from front door to hopper of my grinder in record time. Dialed up a coarse grind. Then pulled out the trusty French press. The only way to properly brew beans of this caliber or any beans for that matter.I was not disappointed. This my friends is a great coffee. Very smooth no bitterness at all. I urge everyone that's interested don't hesitate try these beans. They are great!

Really good coffee the whole being never lets me down and the fact that it's actually a 16 oz bag instead of 12 like most of them do these days is a plus great flavor

The coffee is good and its well worth it if you don't have a Starbucks nearby to pick it up yourself, however, I suggest you buy it from the store rather than Amazon if you can. The price and shipping is not worth the time and effort if you have a local source. Otherwise, this is fantastic coffee. Its a strong blend and has wonderful flavor.

To be sure, this is really great coffee. After reading other reviews I decided to give Komodo a try as I really like strong, freshly ground and brewed coffee without the bitter taste that many strong coffees have. Starbucks Sumatra has delivered this for me in the past and has been my preferred blend for some time. I tried the Komodo blend and it is indeed quite good and very similar to the Sumatra. I can understand why some might prefer this over Sumatra but I am not there yet myself. It will definitely not disappoint, however.

My boyfriend and I have had a really difficult time in the past trying to find a coffee we both like black.It seems like all of the coffees on the market taste very sour and acidic, which we don't like. We have tasted a whole bunch of coffees and we love this coffee. It's very nutty tasting. There is no acidic, sourness at all. This coffee has definitely turned into our go-to coffee and is pretty much the only coffee we buy for home use.I also bought the KitchenAid BCG111ER Blade Coffee Grinder in red to use with this coffee. Being able to have freshly ground coffee every morning has made getting ready for work a whole lot easier. Also, I would definitely suggest switching to a whole bean coffee and using a coffee grinder. Being freshly ground brings out so many other flavors and notes that you other wise loose.
