Why does their official warranty document not include everything they state on this page? looks like bait-and-switch to me.

Had the same issue. Sold my truck when my winch broke. Tried to send it in and they won't warranty it. I'll never buy anything from smittybilt. They won't stand behind their warranty.

Is the synthetic rope on the winch?

Please keep in mind that the 12,000 lb. X20 series comes with STEEL cable. You have to go to the X20 COMP series to get the synthetic rope.

What do you get other than the winch and remote if anything? There is no list of product items winch, remote, ect...?

you get the winch, winch hook, all cables to hook up to your vehicle power wise. winch cable and wireless remote for the winch and one badass winch

Is there a "wired" remote option in case your battery is dead?

can the wireless remote be replaced if lost or broken?
