I purchased the remote 5 times. A few from amazon and a couple from retail stores. All of the remotes units broke in less than a year. The on/off switch would not even function. The bromic heating unit itself has worked perfectly. The remote (which was warranted)unit (when it was replaced for free) each time also entailed having an electrician come each time and I needed to pay him. My last remote which was purchased 2 years ago has worked flawlessly. Maybe bromic has fixed the issue or maybe I was lucky and received a great replacement I am very happy with the heater and now happy with the remote. They have allowed me to hang out on my patio year round. I live in soCal so temperature does not go below 45 even winter evenings. For me, it has been worth the inconvenience.

Had high hopes for this product. I have it wired to 240w load, then to a Bromic Tungsten Smart Heater. Confirmed power is getting to the dimmer control unit, however it’s not responding to programming (not even a beep) and fails to operate the heater. This is a huge expense for their controller so I’m considerably disappointed. I’ve left a message with technical support and hope to receive a response. I know their are less expensive options out there that aren’t the same brand. I will update this review if I gets up and running.
