This one is not for the impatient!
This set was on my wish list for about a week but I broke into the temptation of purchasing as I really love the pictures.Tremendous value for 2 kits, the landscape is slightly bigger than the owls which are full round drills and a little larger than A3 in size.I have a fair few projects flattening out but am trying to complete 1 at a time, this is actually my 5th in the making since I started my new hobby about a month ago!I have given the kit 5 stars for design and value, however, I would *not* recommend this kit for the absolute beginner or the impatient! The symbol chart is appalling! There are a few numbers which are almost identical (take 17 and 27 for example) and it is really difficult to determine which is which. There is a *lot* of shading in this piece, so there are minimal "block" colouring. If you are used to working from outside in, corner to corner, side to side etc, you will be changing your drill colours often! On this basis, I ended up laying out my coloured drills in separate trays and working on one owl at a time - if I was near the end of a bag of drills, I would work on a separate part of the picture, hence you'll see some shading across the full picture. It's taken about a week of approximately 5-6 hours focus on this picture so far and I have just today completed one owl. This is definitely not an overnight project!! I do feel however, that if the symbols on the colour chart were easier to view, that it would speed up the process considerably. That said, I absolutely love the picture and will persevere with my sleepless/diamond painting days and nights lol*Update* I've now completed my owls and have to say that I'm disappointed 😞 the keys in the owls' mouths are totally invisible and the earth, fire, air and water symbols are not clear. I've had no choice but to reduce this down a star, but this picture did kill a lot of time!**Update 2** I'm now halfway through my sun and moon picture and my daughter in law has said that she wants to do this one. It was only when we started looking at ages that I realised there were supposed to be people at the bottom of the tree! 😱 See my attached pictures... Such a shame..

Brilliant otherwise
On the sun and moon one (wm661-03) I got 10 (742) and 20 (972) mixed up. As they are so close of colour I cannot separate them now. Please would it be possible if you can send out replacements. I don’t want to ruin the end result.

Good quality kit
This is my first attempt at diamond painting so I didn't want to get anything too big or complex. I got a bargain, with an offer of two canvases for a bit more than one would cost. I don't know how detailed this will be when finished, and as it's my first picture, I have nothing to compare it to, but I'm really enjoying working on it. The items came well before EDD. This one has flattened out easily and up to now, looks free from creases and air bubbles. All the correct drills were included, with a pen, glue and a tray and some extra bags. There seems to be plenty of spare drills too. The glue on the canvas is good and strong. The only issue I had with it, is that on the colour symbols chart, there are two green colours that have very similar symbols and the colours are almost identical too. It was really hard to distinguish at times, which was which on the canvas. Luckily, there wasn't a big area with these colours and with them being almost the same, I supposed it didn't matter if I got a few wrong. I've included a photo of what I've done up to now. This seems to be a good quality product and as such, has made my first adventure into diamond painting very enjoyable.
