How does 1/4" mbh driver piece work? when i put a bit in it, i cannot get it out again. it has a little steel retaining clip that traps the bit.

The two inch bits aren’t designed to be used in bit mbh driver piece, only the small bits. The two inch bits are designed to be quick connects that snap into impact drivers.

does this set have all the sae an metric hex head sizes that i need??

I have used this set for 13 months. It is the most complete set I have ever used. Every size, Phillips, torx, square, slotted and Allen I have very needed. It does not have security drivers, that is another set.
