perfect replacement for Bodum Cold Brew
I've had my original Bodum Cold Brew maker for a few years and noticed the silicone edge was wearing away. this is the perfect replacement!

Fits older cold press
Some complete idi@t uninvited ex houseguest unbeknownst to me cut my original press rubber strainer edge shorter because “the suction was too strong” causing it to loose that tight suction & get grit in the coffee. This replacement fits perfectly on my older model! Only difference is the attachment part is plastic not metal. Definitely worth buying this vs an entire newer model press.

For newer models
Bought this replacement for my 8 cup model that I purchased over 20 years ago. Unfortunately, they've changed the way it is attached so I couldn't use it. My older insulated Bodum model has been an EXCELLENT purchase but I'm concerned that the newer ones may not be as heavy or thickly insulated. Not sure if I'll purchase another on. And, if you're wondering, I have replaced the ring in my old model over the years (they last two or three years or more), but apparently can't buy the old style ring anymore. Even contact Bodum about it but they have no old replacements. As for the newer ring, can't say anything about it except it looks the same quality as the old models. *sigh*

Thank you for making this product!
I absolutely love my Bodum Stainless French Press, but really needed to replace the filter. I looked for a replacement a while ago and couldn't find one - I was afraid I was going to have to buy a different coffee pot and retire this one. But I checked again and saw these. It worked perfectly (and I bought a spare, just in case). The stainless Bodum is a fabulous coffee maker - elegant but solid and keeps my coffee perfect. I highly recommend this product and company.

New Design Flaw and no help from Bodum
I ordered this in Nov after my prior filter started to separate from the plate after a year of use. I used as long as I could even after I received, expecting depreciation would begin the minute I started using the new plate. Finally replacing a couple weeks ago, disappointed as to the new design, trouble reassembling and the new little top that doesn't enable it to sit flat. It seemed to not loosen as quickly, but after a week needed some tightening. However, there was just no wiggle room on the new design and it immediately snapped 1 of the cross plates. Too late for help from Amazon, and got directed to Bodum. The only response I got was the first requesting a photo of the damage and proof of purchase, which I sent. After a week of no response I sent another request and they kept asking for the proof again. I sent again, and again and again, and they refused to answer anymore, nor do they answer the phone or return messages. There is an entire website devoted to unhappy customers. Just so everyone knows. Do your due diligence on any of their products in time enough to return to Amazon, because you will be ignored by Bodum.

They've changed it.
Few things in this world irritate me as much as planned obsolescence, where a company (like Apple) makes incremental changes so that you have to buy the "updated" product. Fortunately, this is not the case. But before I found someone else's review here, I thought it was. Please see the pictures, as they better illustrate the issues than what I could describe here. First thing I noticed was the obvious drop in quality. This is only our 2nd replacement in the almost 10 years we've had the Bodum press. So that's a testament to the quality, but I feel that's come to an end, unfortunately. Hope I'm wrong and this is just my anecdotal experience. The rubber seal appears to be sloppily done as the fitment is a bit off (see pic). We've only made one pot and I did notice "floaters" on my cup which were rare with the previous 2 filters. But the kicker here was when I attempted to install the new filter. It's as though it were made for a different product. Please see the pictures here to know what I mean. Unfortunately, it looks like Amazon cropped my photos and may have cut off some of the added text but you'll still get the gist of the problems explained here. Fortunately, thanks to another review here, I found that if you have the Bodum press you can remove the end of the stem where it screws into the filter so that it fits correctly. Something I didn't take a picture of is when I screwed on the filter, somehow I screwed down so much that it broke the "nub" off the other side. I figured the old ones didn't have that feature so no big deal. But it occurs to me that the integrity of the plastic is now compromised and could potentially lead to problems down the road. We'll find out, I guess...

Perfect Replacement Part
Works perfectly to replace the filter that originally came with our 51 oz stainless steel bodum. No more grounds getting through.
