BOSCH Vacuum Hose Adapter for 1-1/4" & 1-1/2" Hoses - Compatible with Bosch Router, Planer, Grinder, Circular Saw, Sander, Jigsaw & Hammer Tools

I bought this adapter so I could connect my vacuum to my new BOSCH ROS10 sander. The description led me to believe it would work but it does not. To add insult to injury, had I looked in the case of my Bosch pad sander I would have known I already had the same adapter. The money I did spend on this adapter does not justify the hassle of returning it so I decided to keep it and see if I can somehow jury rig it to fit. I mean it does attach to the 1-1/4 inch hose that I already adapted to the 2" hose on my shop vacuum, but it does not attach to the sander. Oh well live and learn. It is well made though so if it will work for you, it is a good value.

At first I was with the other negative reviews. I thought this would not fit and that Bosch was nuts. Thanks to one of the other reviewers here that mentioned he heard back from Bosch, I realized this does fit and fits well. You HAVE to insert the smaller end into the 90 coupler on the saw, and you have to really push and wiggle. It takes a bit of pushing and force. It will eventually just slip in tight with no gaps for dust. I then got a standard abs 90, an inserted the male end onto this VAC002. It was snug enough that it would not slip off and easy enough to remove when needed. Then I added a length of straight 1.5" abs to shoot the dust down to the back of my saw where my collector hole was. So in the end I am giving this 5 star as it allowed me to convert the weird Bosch size couple into standard size that I can deal with using ABS.

This adapter won't fit the shark "as-is" . the 1 1/2" end DOES fit into the hose fitting, but the 1 1/4" will not fit into the attachments. So I cut up a plastic "cool whip" type container and made a cone shape with the cut plastic and electrical tape. Now I can use all my old vacuum attachments - So Happy! and this adapter is only $2. After going through so many adapters that won't fit, this was an easy cheap solution. and 10 min. time. So if you can cut & tape, you can do this- Shark owners. (Shark lift away AZ2000-Az2002w) Shame on Shark for non-standard hose fittings. I won't be buying another one because of this.

When I first attempted to fit this adapter to my saw, I couldn't get it to work. Once I figured it out, it fit great. Since it is attached to my dust collector hose, I am able to just pull the adapter out of the saw's dust port and use it as a dust collector nozzle for other tools and work areas in my shop. The adapter is of the same high quality as the saw; something I have come to expect from Bosch. The price was very reasonable, making it a great value for the money.

I had hoped that his adapter could be used to connect to 2 swimming pool hoses, one measuring 1 1/4" to another 1 1/2", but the outer measurement of the 1 1/4" end was actually 1 3/8" and was too big and therefore useless to me. The 1 1/4" hose would not fit. I know the item was not designed for what I had intended to use it for, but in any case measurement was not accurate for my purpose.

This Bosch vacuum adapter only works with some Bosch tools and not others. To check for compatibility call Bosch support and they will tell whether or not it will work with the model you have.

I have one of those smaller Ridgid NXT portable shop vacs with the odd sized hose (1-7/8). And, of course, I have a Bosch 2362 planer with a 1-1/4 port. This adapter - AND A RIDGID ADAPTER (1-7/8 to 1-1/4) - combined allowed me to connect one tool to the other. I had to buy the Ridgid brand adapter as part of a three-pack of adapters, about $12 at the time. Both adapters fit well.

I got this to go with the Bosch RS006 Hose Adapter for Various Sanders for my Bosch palm sander Bosch 1297D 1/4-Sheet Orbital Finishing Sander with SheetLoc Paper Attachment System because I am going to do some interior wall and ceiling sanding and I hope to use my vacuum with it. This VAC002 adapter fits the RS006 and goes to the standard shop vac hose perfectly. It is nice because both ends are tapered and slightly flexible, so it goes on snug, unlike other adapters I got before which do not taper and are rigid and sometimes just don't fit by a slight amount.
