Our son wanted a green in the yard. He's thrilled with his seed choice.
Our teen son is into golf and wanted to create a putting green in the yard. He prepped the soil and seeded with his dad last year and within a few months it was looking very good. It survived winter (we get some snow and freezing. Reno, NV) well overall. He re-seeded as needed and is diligently working on it again. It's only April and it's already looking really good. He's very happy with the grass itself. He bought a greens mower and keeps it cut short. I don't know a lot about grass, but I would describe us a a bright green, with blades that are fine and soft. It seems to spread out well once established too.

Poor Results ??
Bought two bags of this. Almost nothing is growing in the area I planted it. Any thoughts? Or can two more bags be sent. Maybe I got bad grass seed.

high germination rate
high germination rate, but not the most vigorous creeping bent I've used.

1.5 weeks after seeding dirt!
Incredible grass type, I killed off a 600sqft section of my yard, waited a few weeks, scalped, detached, rotatilled to level and then seeded double the recommended rate, set my sprinkler for 3 minutes every hour of daylight, last 4 hours of daylight let it dry out some so it isnโt swamped overnight. Make sure overnight temps do not drop below 60ยฐ.

Excellent grass for PNW lawns
Perfect grass seed for my oregon lawn. Seems to hold up pretty well throughout the wet winter and summer. Hasn't needed much maintenance to stay green. Much cheaper option than purchasing sod. Watering 2 times a week keeps up maintenance. Grass sprouted after a few weeks and seemed full after 1-2 months.

The jury is still out, but.......
It's been a full three weeks since putting this grass seed down, and so far, I've only gotten about 25% germination. That alone is unsatisfactory performance, but.......the grass that is growing is beautiful and I can hardly wait for it to mature. The communication with the seller isn't the best, either. They could use some help in that department! I realize that growing grass from seed is not easy, and if you don't keep up with it several times each day, the results are going to be poor, at best. The seller has no clue as to whether or not I'm doing everything right for growing this grass, so I can't blame them for not getting excited about my grass seed not germinating properly. I get it! But I know that I've done everything proper, and still only getting 40% germination, and that's very disappointing. So, I've decided to order more seed, but not from this seller, and see how this next batch works out. I'll try to provide another update, comparing the differences between the two seeds/sellers. It's been 3 weeks since my 2nd seed order from a different seller, and I'm much happier. The germination of the 2nd batch is approximately 70%. This is much better than 40% germination. So, I know where I'll be going for my next seed order.
