I purchased this for decoration and not storage. Perfect for decoration, but will not hold much if used for storage. The padding inside takes up a lot of space; it is not a deep box. Material inside is excellent for fine jewelry; felt type material. There is no locking mechanism; open and close with gold handle. The box is well built and very sturdy. They use screws to attach the corners and not nails. The material is textured and not smooth. Looks expensive and not cheap; wood is heavy. Great quality, that is why I purchased more.

I didn't know if I was going to like this but I do! The color is great, and it looks expensive. The material is nice and it looks beautiful. I use it to store my keys in my entryway table. I love it!

This was a great quality box for the price. My only issue was that the color I ordered came in as a rather pinkish neutral and a rather glossy brass handle. The shades of both just did not work for me, but I got creative with some shoe polish and stain, as well as a sharpie for the handle to create a tortoiseshell look. After a little tweaking, I was very happy with the effect. The boxes is great. Just be careful about the shade you choose. The lightest neutral shade tends to present on the pinker side for some reason.

This jewelry box is well made and very sturdy. The hinges and handle on lid are quality as well as attractive. My favorite feature is the inside is lined with felt. I feel this gives jewelry greater protection against elements that can cause some pieces to tarnish. I love this jewelry box so much I bought a second in another color one box has gold jewelry pieces and the other has silver jewelry pieces.

Love this box. It is a perfect size and really solid. Looks like real leather and love thr brass handle. Bought it for the end table in our living room to hold all of the little messy items I want on hand while I am reading or watching tv like lip balm, nail clippers, remotes, etc. It sure makes everything look neat and clean.
