Will this give a dark green almost black color/patina on bronze or brass ?

No, it’s a lighter slightly blueish green. Had to apply several coats and the Verdi Gris did not seem to adhere well. Overall not too happy with this and pricey. Another brand had a darkened that worked well and quickly

Depends how many times need to apply , multiple applications yield darker finish ... from my experience 8 fluid oz covers 4 square feet approx...

Also, what is the application time, and can Jax be added to copper flashing that is already installed?

Application time is a few seconds to a couple minutes depending on the size of the piece. The change in color is almost instant. Idk about the copper flashing.
