This cord is great in that it allows me to use my old, obsolete iPod in my care. Most of my self-loaded music was lost in a computer crash. This old device had everything that was lost on it.

If I could give this negative stars I would. This item does not work at all! I had a connector like this (from a different company) with a (lightening connector) for my iphone 13 that worked fabulously. This item is made incredibly cheap - looks like it is going to split apart when put on the connector and will not charge ANYTHING. I have never had to write a review like this, but don’t throw your money away.

Arrived as expected and in good working order

Garbage. Plugged in to Bose speaker other end to ipod touch. Not recognized to charge or to play. Waste of $$

Exactly what I was looking for

I originally bought this to listen from my phone. Nope, I will use it to listen from my iPod.

Purchased this hoping that it would allow my iPhone 16 Pro Max to work with an older B&O tabletop speaker system with the legacy Apple 30 pin connector. It would allow it to charge but it didn’t allow any sound to transfer through. I would not recommend this cable for any purpose other than to charge.

I have not actually tried this yet as far as performance-hooking up an iPhone USBC to an old 16 pin audio jack- but have installed it onto the equipment. The 16 pin female end was a little cranky about fitting onto the device, more force than I thought would be necessary was required to get it to seat. The wired itself is coated with "rubber" that is less flexible than you usually see in OEM Apple products which Amy lead to early breaking if moved a lot.... WELL, decided to try to link the two together via this wire/converter and it does not function as I had hoped-as an adapter. I may need to investigate how to make a 17 Pro Max output to the usb C on the bottom rather than the speaker, but unknown at this point. Also bought a blue tooth adapter so will give that a buzz....

Cheap, clunky fit and no device recognises it - expensive waste of money and little time to return it; will be complaining to Amazon as I very much doubt this is certified by Apple looking at the quality of it and packaging!
