No stains at all. Very easy to use. Must be 100 percent natural fiber.

The pods contain salt in them with the dye. No need to add salt or vinegar.

how much fabric can you dye with one dye pod?

I did 2 pair of faded back Levi jeans with one pod and the result was spectacular. It restored the jeans to their original jet black color. The directions suggest 2 pair of jeans per pod which should give you an approximate idea of how much fabric one pod will do. They say a pod will completely do a king size set of sheets
