This worked great. I sprayed Sheetrock flat paint walls, vinyl floors, doors, exhaust fans, wood shelving, ceiling, fabrics, everything in sight after 2 cats odors had destroyed a very large bathroom with foul gagging litter odors. Of course I used this spray bottle and a 128 oz. Refill over course of 3 days and 5 rounds, because the odor was that foul and intense!

This is the best stuff for removing pet odor. We use it all the time and love it. We use other products when this is not available, but this is the best.

... even a trace amount leaves a miasma of odor. We've sent things to professional cleaners repeatedly, only to receive a "clean" item that still has a lingering funk. (If you're considering this product, you know what I mean.) This is bad not only because nobody wants to live like that, but because any lingering odor will encourage the pet to keep going there. Enzyme cleaner is really the only thing that works for items that can't go through a normal wash. (Carpets, upholstery, dry-clean-only items, bulky items...) Simple Solution (this item) and Nature's Miracle are the two main brands, each with its partisans. Simple Solution happens to be what I use. Some important tips for how to use it: * Use a LOT of the stuff, and use it two or three times if you need to. I have poured an entire gallon bottle onto a single ottoman (in two applications, using a carpet steamer in between). For comforters and similar items, I put the item in the bathtub and *thoroughly* douse it with enzyme cleaner, then let it soak for a day, then hang it up to dry. * Where possible, you want to FULLY rinse the item after soaking (again, a bathtub works well). This is obviously not practical for furniture or carpets. * The enzyme cleaner smells! (An alcohol type smell, with its own unique musk.) However, unlike the odor you're getting rid of, it WILL go away with time. If the item can't be rinsed, it may take a week or longer, but it will disappear. * I've had good luck using Simple Solution products on wool, down, and other sensitive materials. I have fancy down comforters that are good as new after being peed on multiple times, heavily doused in Simple Solution, and rinsed with cold water. But your results may vary! Definitely use a test spot if you have any concerns at all.

have used this for years....2 cats, accidents happen, however when in last stages of life...bigger accidents...and frequent. the carpet was just nasty from their last few weeks of life...and although steam cleaning for the quick initial messes with SSE works after they passed...it was full on get rid of the odor or get new carpet....follow the instructions...blot the fresh stains, and then saturate area with SSE...wait 5 min...I waited over 30 as I really saturated a large area...I then filled my steam cleaner with clean water, added about a cup of SSE to the water, then also filled the deteregent container full strength cleaning purpose....started up machine....did a first pass to suck up any remaining wetness, passed over with the cleaner spraying with the cleaner, let set for 5 min, ran over it to suck up all remaining wetness, making sure I got as much as possible..then placed a oscillating fan on high until it was dry....the carpet went from "reek and stink" especially when warm weather was forcasted...to absolutely no odor, no stains and a carpet that looked brand new...I also use this on my husbands "stinky head sweat hats"....soaking them for a couple of hours or overnight with SSE and then wash and dry....once again no stinky hat...laundry use is essentially same process....for dog bedding use SSE instead of detergent...works great...I have tried all the others....none worked until I found SSE and the rest of the line...worth every penny...and just in case of quick messes I keep a spray bottle full of straight SSE for refreshing mattresses coats etc. don't waste your money on any other products....I generally order 2-3 at a time just to make sure I have some on hand at all times....

Cat was spraying and marking wall in hallway .. had tried numerous other cleaners, odor eliminator, etc and nothing worked. Sprayed this liberally on carpet and lightly on wall. No incidences since and it's been months. Definitely recommend.
