LIKED- Ease of use, quick results, low cost per test. Still learning and finding out about accuracy. Nice packaging.

Learn to make dilutions as the upper detectable range is too low for practical tinctures. In fact, make every new batch tested use a panel of say, 3 or 4 dilution cells that can be made at the same time. I mix mine in 10ml beakers with a pipette in 5:1,10:1 and 20:1 as I try to target a 100mg/ml tincture.

I (legally) grow my own cannabis and use the flower and oil extract for health reasons. I've been testing my flower and oil at a local establishment on their GemmaCert Pro tester. My flower THC typically tests in the 18% to 23% range, and my oil is typically in the 58% to 63% range. I've been using the tcheck 3 for about a month now, testing the same flower and oil as above. The results have been disappointing at best. Testing the same (23%) flower bud multiple times gives me results that vary from 15% to 37%, and a test with 55 mg of oil showed that I had 65 mg of THC. Pretty darn good for only 55 mg of material!!. Now, I don't expect a $330 tester to match a $8000 one, but I do expect to get a more consistent result from multiple tests of the same material. Because I have a technical background, I can see that this device shows promise, however, the design needs to be much better in repeatability before I'd recommend it to anyone else. You simply cannot depend on it for a reasonable result.

So simple to use even a stoner can do it. Accuracy depends on two things: clean sample tray and no bubbles in the sample. It’s that simple. Comparing it to a lab result it is very close. Lab said 15mg/ml, tcheck said 14.8mg/ml. It’s very accurate and the app to use it a breeze. I really like it. The machine max’s out at a reading of 15mg/ml, so diluting a stronger oil for testing is simple. I mix 50/50 and just double the reading. The guy complains about bad readings in the 65mg/ml range is not telling the truth, the machine doesn’t read past 15mg/ml.
