Going to attempt to make vanilla extract
Going to try making vanilla extract for the first time. Given how long it takes for a good extraction, kinda hard to evaluate right off the bat. First impression, without opening the package yet, it's very fragrant. Smells of strong vanilla. So guessing the concentration is great. Color is dark brown. Moisture looks nice and juicy. Should make some good stuff. One thing a bit hard to judge from the listing itself is size and weight of what ya get. I've included pics with a ruler aligned to bottom of beans in package and package on a kitchen scale. This gives a much better reference. With the weight, I figure I may try to do a larger 1.5x batch and half size 1x batch with what's left over. Price seems pretty awesome. Local HEB sells bottles of one bean for about $10. Bulk beans are $7 each. Yes. Each. So the price seems hard to beat when needing a couple ounces of beans. I have some 8 ounce bottles arriving today. Already have a 4 ounce from other hobbies. No liquor sales in Texas on Sundays, so will get some vodka, for sure tomorrow for main batch. Trying to decide on bourbon or rum to extract the smaller batch. Decisions. Decisions. Should be a fun project. Hope this review helps you with your vanilla bean purchasing decision. Take care.

Perfect Extract Pods – Deep Bourbon Aroma and Incredible Value for Home Baking
Finding high-quality vanilla beans for making homemade extracts can be a massive gamble. Many bulk packages arrive completely dried out, brittle, or lacking the complex aromatic oils required to throw a deep flavor into a liquor infusion. This 26-pack of Grade B Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans from FITNCLEAN is absolutely perfect for my homemade extract. They produce a rich, dark, and incredibly fragrant results that completely elevate any baking project. Grade B Extraction Optimization: While Grade A beans are typically prized for their plump appearance for scraping caviar directly into frostings, Grade B beans are the absolute industry standard for clean extract processing. Because they carry a slightly lower moisture profile by design, the concentrated vanilla flavors are highly dense. They absorb alcohol beautifully, releasing a massive, pure vanilla profile without watering down your master batch. Pristine Packaging & Organic Quality: FITNCLEAN has executed top-tier quality control with this bulk allotment. The beans arrive beautifully vacuum-sealed in heavy-duty food-grade packaging, locking in the essential oils so they remain supple and deeply aromatic on your pantry shelf. They are 100% Certified Organic, non-GMO, and free of any chemical treatments, ensuring your homemade vanilla extract remains entirely pure. Pros: Highly dense Grade B profile is perfectly optimized for rich homemade vanilla extract infusions. Certified Organic and non-GMO pods guarantee absolute purity for your baking meditation. Strong vacuum packaging preserves essential oils, keeping beans perfectly supple. Generous 26-bean bulk allotment delivers outstanding value compared to retail grocery jars. Cons: These are explicitly Grade B beans meant for infusing liquid extracts—if you are looking for massive, wet pods to scrape a cup of fresh paste directly into a single dish, you'll want to grab Grade A beans instead! Verdict: A flawless, high-utility baking component that offers phenomenal quality and unbeatable value. If you treat baking as your personal meditation and want to craft a world-class homemade extract investment, this bulk pack is a mandatory addition.
