HERDEZ Guacamole Salsa Medium 32 oz Avocado-Based Salsa – HERDEZ I sampled the HERDEZ Guacamole Salsa Medium because I enjoy avocado-based sauces that add flavor without the heavier texture of traditional guacamole. This salsa blends ingredients like tomatillos, green chiles, avocado, onion, and cilantro into a smooth sauce that works well in a variety of meals. The bottle is generous at 32 ounces, which makes it convenient to keep in the refrigerator for multiple uses throughout the week. The flavor has a nice balance between tangy and creamy. The tomatillos give it a slightly bright, citrus-like taste, while the avocado smooths everything out so the heat doesn’t dominate. The medium spice level is noticeable but not overwhelming, making it easy to use on tacos, burritos, eggs, or even as a dip for tortilla chips. It has more kick than a mild salsa but still stays approachable for most people. The texture is thinner than traditional guacamole, but that’s intentional since it’s designed as a pourable salsa. I found it particularly useful as a topping for grilled chicken and rice bowls because it spreads easily and coats food without needing to be scooped like a dip. The plastic container has a wide opening that makes it easy to pour or spoon out the amount you need. Lasting a good amount of time also a bit more spicy then I guessed. Great for lots of cooking!

Goes great on about anything! From scrambled eggs to chicken street tacos, I use it on a lot of meals and it gives that great flavor with just a slight amount of heat.

I have bashed Herdez salsa before in a review as I had a pretty poor opinion of their medium chunky salsa. That being said, this guacamole salsa is quite good with a nice creamy texture and a pleasant kick of spice to it, even to the point of saying "wow that last bite had some good heat". The flavor is very interesting with not a lot of avocado flavor, but it is there. This salsa goes so well with so many different foods and even just eating with tortilla chips is good. I do think this salsa could be thicker as it flows like water almost and does not stay where you put it, but that is about the only slight I can give it. So, 4- and one-half stars really because the flavor is so tasty. I recommend this salsa and I will certainly be buying it again.

I absolutely love this salsa! It has a little heat to it, and is very tasty.
