Works as advertised and somewhat better. Really removes oil and water VERY WELL !!! Dr Dave
I shoot an AirForce Texan .457 LSS and a AirForce Condor 25 cal SS. I was not getting what I needed out of my long tube filter with cotton wads, desiccant, and activated charcoal there was moisture getting through. I purchased a 3.0 L tank to fill my air guns. Again moisture was gettin into tank. I finally purchased a GX water separator and was expecting it to keep the moisture out of my airguns and tank. It really worked. Not only did it work but it worked fantastic. The science behind the water removal is sound and it is a great water removal tool for any Airgun or tank. I work for JPL / NASA and the basic rules of keeping water out of places you do not want it are followed. At first I thought it was a little to expensive but after reading the way it removes water and oil from my guns and tanks was simple and sound so I had to try it. Glad I did. The unit is built solid and tough and the attaching magnets work great holding it vertically so it can do its job without having to find a permanent place on work bench to mount it. There is not much back pressure noted. There is a manual drain at bottom of extractor to dump the water it extracts. I already said this unit is solid but again this unit is built very well, good machining, and great materials shows pride of workmanship. It performs very good with no leaks or other issues. It comes with additional activated charcoal and cotton wads. I suggest using a small inline filter ahead of the GX water extractor to get most of water out before it gets to the GX extractor especially if you live a humid area. It works as advertised. Dr Dave, Payson Utah UPDATE: I have been using the GX Water Filter now for several months. It has worked flawlessly removing water from entering my AirForce Condor SS and Texan .457 LSS and Feinwerkbau Olympic Pistol. The filter has not been changed yet as most of the water gets vented periodically by opening water valve vent. Any water moisture gets picked up by the filter. I really like the filter keeping moisture out of my 3.0L and 6.8L air tanks and airgun tanks and internals to prolong life of my airguns. In my opinion, it is one of the best filters out there. Filters are not that costly as you get a lot of mileage on them and very comfortable to know moisture is not getting into my tanks and airguns. Update: Really have used this colescent filter a lot lately, and by far it is the BEST designed pcp filter out there that really works and keeps moisture out of the Airguns. And keeps expensive pcp airguns from being damaged. I do not live in a humid area but we get humid days occasionally and I have several pcp rifles and competition pistols and happy knowing my airguns are getting fresh DRY AIR to their tanks. BEST FILTER available and the cost is very reasonable that will keep your pneumatic pcp airguns from serious corrosion or corrodedparts

Very well packaged and built solidly. Good up to 5800 psi if you need to go that high.
I purchased the GX pump, professional grade high-pressure PCP air and oil separator expressly to be used with a new compressor that I had ordered. It came well packaged, and it feels really good in my hands. It felt solid, well built. When my Compressor finally came in, and I had the time to set it up I finally got to use this separator. And I am truly pleased with it. I like the fact that it goes to 1800 or so before it even starts going into the bottle or gun that I’m airing up at the time. I feel like it does a very good job. It was an easy set up. The magnets worked great. Thought for a moment of building some kind of holding device that he could set it in since it’s got a set up underneath it where I can bolt it down. But decided against it since this Compressor system makes it easy to be mobile. So I did not want to anchor down to anything. Put the magnets up against the Compressor and it held exactly as it supposed to. If you want a good separator to keep your guns and tanks dry with good air I highly recommend this. I think it is rated up to 5800 just like the Compressor. But I have only taken it to 4500 as of this writing.

The new gold standard ...
This filter is quite different from all the others I've seen at this price point. My setup runs as follows:GX-PUMP CS4-I pump (higher power than most compressors - so don't buy cheap 300 bar stuff. It puts out 5800 PSI / 400 BAR / 40 MPa) - and this thing can run constantly for 5 hours!!! GX-PUMP PCP Compressor FilterHill Compressor Dry-Pac Pro - Air Dryer Filter (4500-001)3L tanks or straight to the gun.Your goal here is to get dry, clean compressed air. Moisture and oil will destroy your guns. GX claims you can use this filter for diving—and some people do—but they don't provide certifications, plus there is no carbon monoxide filter in the chain, so let's take that as an "interesting" claim and stick to airguns. How the System Works:When you start the compressor, it builds up pressure in the line between the pump and the GX filter. The CS4-I has a basic moisture trap built-in, which is a good start. Then the GX-PUMP filter does its thing. This is the most important part to understand, and I envision it as a three-stage process. The GX filter features a built-in Pressure Maintaining Valve (PMV). This valve won't open to let air pass through to your guns/tanks until the line pressure hits roughly 1,800–2,000 PSI. Because the air enters and forces the pressure to build rapidly inside the filter chamber, the condensation not cleared by the CS4-I's built-in trap drops straight to the bottom of the cylinder.Once that high threshold pressure is achieved, the valve opens, and the air streams through the GX-PUMP’s own proprietary filter material. This media uses a dual-layer mix of molecular sieve and activated carbon to strip out the bulk of the remaining moisture and aerosolized compressor oil. From there, the air flows into the Hill filter, which utilizes its own specialized, multi-stage desiccant media to catch any micro-moisture that somehow sneaked past the first two traps. Why Running Both in Series is a Game Changer:Running the GX-PUMP filter and the Hill Dry-Pac Pro in series might look like overkill, but here is the technical reality of why it works so well:Progressive Moisture Dropping: Air drying is all about stages. Your CS4-I drops the heavy, liquid condensation. The GX-PUMP filter uses high pressure to squeeze out the secondary moisture and uses its internal volume to absorb the brunt of the oil vapor. By the time the air reaches the Hill filter, it is already "clean," meaning the expensive Hill media isn't getting choked with raw oil. It can do its actual job: polishing the air to absolute desert-dryness.Media Longevity: If you ran the Hill filter alone with a high-output pump like the CS4-I, you would saturate the desiccant media in no time. By using the GX filter as a sacrificial first line of defense, you exponentially extend the life of your pricey Hill refills. The Verdict:Ultimately, this setup gives you a redundant, multi-layered insurance policy for your rifles. You are using mechanical separation, molecular filtration, and final desiccant polishing in one continuous chain. Is the GX-PUMP filter a certified diving setup? Absolutely not—don't risk your lungs. But for filling a 3L tank or going straight to a high-end PCP gun where a single drop of moisture means internal corrosion and ruined regulators? This filter is the missing link that makes a high-power DIY filling station actually safe for your gear. Highly recommended if you are serious about air quality.

Very efficient, once the filter fills with air, takes a few seconds and pow!!! Filled up my Gauntlet SL30 before I could figure how to shut it down 🤣🤪 naw I set the dial, but it doesn't waste time filling up my PCP'S, GAUNTLET SL30, SKOUT SEMI, NOTOS,BENJAMIN AIRBOW, ORIGIN, ARROW CLASSIC POWER WOODSTOCK, HATSAN JET 1, all from empty except NOTOS it was 100bar. Filled all up one after the other, ran for approximately 12 minutes from beginning to end. Now that I have it down as far as pressure release and doing the switch I think It would probably do it in 6 minutes or less! It's quiet and steady, well quieter than my old one GOYOJO and much quicker and smooth 😎 once the dial starts to move it moves fast! So far I don't know ifnz you can get better for the price!!! All that matters is that I F@@@@@G DIG IT!!!

A substantial upgrade over the basic filters included with PCP compressors
The first thing that impressed me wasn't the filter itself—it was the packaging. It arrived securely packed in custom-cut foam, which immediately gave me confidence that some care had gone into the product. Once I picked it up, I was even more impressed. This thing is built like a tank. There's a lot of metal here, giving it a reassuring weight, and the machining, threading, and overall fit and finish are excellent. What I liked: * excellent machining and construction * heavy-duty all-metal design * quality packaging * effective moisture removal * convenient water drain * a significant upgrade over standard compressor filters I've been using it with a small PCP compressor to fill a 6.8L carbon fiber bottle. Filling a tank that size takes a long time with hobby-grade equipment, which actually made this a good test of the filter. At every cooling break, I'd drain the separator and was surprised by how much water it had collected. Seeing that amount of moisture removed from the air gave me a lot more confidence than relying on the simple inline "filters" that typically come with these compressors. I also prefer this style of filtration over units that rely only on charcoal and desiccant. Being able to physically remove condensed water during the fill just makes sense, especially when you're compressing air for extended periods. One feature I found interesting is the pre-pressurization design. I can't say whether it measurably improves filtration, but it's neat to watch the compressor gauge pause around 2,000 PSI before the air begins pressurizing the line to the tank. Whether that's simply part of the design or actually contributes to better performance, it certainly appears to be functioning as intended. The only question mark I have at this point is long-term serviceability. I haven't been able to find consistent information on whether the filter cartridges are intended to be rebuilt with new media or replaced as complete assemblies. Since the original filter is still performing well, I'm not about to sacrifice one just to satisfy my curiosity. Overall, this has been an excellent addition to my PCP filling setup. The build quality is outstanding, the moisture separation appears to work very well, and it inspires far more confidence than the basic filtration included with most small compressors. If you're serious about keeping moisture out of your airguns or storage tanks, I think this is money well spent.

Slow
The air is very dry but when using with a Yong Heng compressor it slows the fill rate by about 50%. Why I don’t know. It’s ok for filling a single gun but whet filling my 74 cu ft tank it’s very slow. Still it great for dry air.

Just buy this one you won’t find one that works better for anything close to this price.
This is the Gold standard and it’s not price outrageously. If you don’t have one you probably have water in your air chamber that needs to be purged. I did. Don’t waste money on a $70 filter they require more maintenance and media changes, and don’t filter out liquids as well. One thing that surprised me is when you depressurize the fill line it does not completely depressurize the filter, so you can purge the liquid using the purge valve with the remaining pressure. It takes less time to pressurize than my slightly smaller cheap filter that came with my pump. It’s well built The mounting magnets are great

100 % Empfehlung.
