I had an older plug that worked it's way loose over the winter, and began to leak. I lost a good bit of water before we caught it, then retightened it, but it would not seal good. The old plug was a shorter plug. Ordered these and replaced the old one. Held up over the winter freeze with no leakage. On season 2 now, no leakage.

Used for floor drain plug

I've been using expansion plugs for my pool closing. They sort of worked, but had to be pushed in far enough that it was difficult to tighten them for appropriate expansion. These worked great, even while the lines were being blown out, it was easy to push them into the return jets and tighten them.

Was definitely what was needed and described. Was shipped in a timely manner

Although it is a quality built piece, it is much larger than what I needed it for. It is a perfect fit item if you are using the larger side of piping.
