12" Brushed Metal Quiet Sweep Office Wall Clock, Silver Tone

I have an alarm clock that sits sturdily on my bedside table. There is nothing exciting about it except for two things: it is absolutely quiet - no ticking away endlessly at 3 am, and it works. It has worked through Asia, Africa, South America. But that's an alarm clock. I have many wall clocks but I promised myself that I will never buy another one if it isn't a Seiko. I have never had a Seiko that broke down. I have had very expensive clocks that lasted a couple of weeks or months but inevitably they stopped. This clock is simple, attractive, reads well and is perfect for a household where you need a wall clock in every room if you're going to be on time anywhere. Buy it.

I bought several wall clocks, this is the one I liked the most, accurate, silent and beautiful. One thing, the description states it is made in Japan, but it is Made in China, at least the one I got, nonetheless, the technology seems to be the same level as expected from Seiko, high quality.

The product is as stated -quiet, but not silent. I had it in my bedroom-wrong-i heard the ticking, exchanged it with my other silent seiko one. I love the readability with its dark hands and it has kept it time so far. I am happy to have as a work clock! No set-up just a nail or thumb tack will do.

Like the look of simplicity and wanted a silver/gray trim. Very quiet unlike some that make a ticking noise

This Seiko wall clock was well worth the money. I have purchased three wall clocks this year that have all been ridiculously noisy. Save yourself the aggravation! If the clock does not have a quiet sweep second hand, do not waste your time or money. Any clock that has a second hand that stops every second will be noisy! It is the cheapest mechanism available and is found in all the discount brands.

Simple design that goes well with our bedroom decor. About a foot across and even with the smallish numbers, very visible from the bed or bathroom door, which helps in the morning rush. As far as it being quiet, we have no trouble sleeping with it and you basically have to have your ear next to it to hear it ticking. Up on our wall, it's essentially silent. Cased in China, movement made in Thailand. We've had good luck with Seiko products before and expect the same from this clock. Update - clock worked fine for first weeks but has been losing time drastically. Thought it might have been the battery that came with it and used new battery - same problem. Would be 30 minutes slow after 12 hours. I'm returning it. Disappointed.

I'm one of those people who doesn't particularly appreciate the tick-tick-tick of most wall clocks. Seiko has a more expensive clock that bills itself as a "silent sweep" model, but I took a gamble on this one based on previous reviews, and found it to be entirely silent. The second hand jumps each second like most other battery powered clocks, but unless you have your ear to the mechanism on the back, you don't hear a thing. Classy design doesn't hurt, either.

We looked for and tried so many clocks that supposedly you could not hear the ticking, that we finally struck it rich with this one. We have a second home that is constructed of block wall, so when a ticking clock is hanging on it, you could hear it from just about every room. This clock however finally took care of that problem. Of course, if there is absolutely no "white noise" at all (which when does that ever happen), you could hear a faint tick, but that is to be expected. Would purchase again if this ever broke.
