Chrome ABS Slider Shower Bracket, Silver

Great item and easy to fit.

This Chrome ABS Slider Shower Bracket, Silver was a brilliant replacement for the Mira unit I had. A far better design which has given good reliable service for more than a year. It still looks good and operates perfectly, holding the shower head in place and sliding up and down smoothly. It does this with only a small amount of pressure to tighten it in place. It's no real problem but the aperture to get the pipe through is slightly tight and needs a bit of a wiggle to get it in and out, to be able to hold the shower head manually. Overall really pleased. I had replaced my Mira shower head holder twice previously as it was such an awful design and lasted no more than a year. The tilting mechanism relied on plastic teeth which made it stiff to move when new and failed to hold the shower head in position after a few months of average use. This unit overcomes all these problems and is a lot cheaper.

Ok at the moment. Visually doesn’t look cheap compared to my existing Mira. The Mira’s tightening mechanism seems stronger though, so be careful not to over tighten.

I replaced the ”droopy” Mira head holder with this and it works a treat so far. I’m hoping it does not suffer from the same issue. The new one looks to have a Philips screw accessible without removing from the rail. Attached some pics of replacement and old mechanism with the plastic teeth which wear and get loose over time. You will need a 3mm Allen key to remove the Mira bar from the wall brackets, and a Philips screwdriver to remove one end of the mounting bar brackets to remove the old one and slide in the new. The new one is a snug fit so be gentle. Also if you find tightening control isn’t fitting flush, pay attention that there is a white hard plastic washer which has a “key” which fits into the mechanism. Make sure it’s matched and it will be flush.

If you have basic diy skills it's great .Its a tight fit needed sand paper to make the nylon hole larger

Better than original and half the price .

Very easy to install, seems a great value for the price, fits well and looks good. BUT the problem is with the very cheap and fragile material. 3 weeks after installation the plastic inside this thing broke in two although it wasn't even touched since installation. Save your money and buy a sturdier option -this one is not worth it.
