Beautiful and keeps accurate time

This clock is probably my favorite in my collection. The price is right and it’s built well.

A little irked with the incorrect listing description, 'silent sweep second hand'. There IS no second hand, although one can be seen in one of the photos. Even though pendulum is decorative, it swings a bit wildly fast, like a quick beat metronome. The finish is a nice medium color walnut. No battery included, kind of weird when I've become accustomed to anything like this to be shipped with a battery. Bought this after just buying the Bulova Frank Lloyd Wright Robie House wristwatch and reading up on Frank Lloyd Wright. My only exposure previously was Simon and Garfunkel singing about him. This is replacing our 31 year old Seiko mantle clock which is still running perfectly, I just got tired of it and it's 1980s look. We'll see if this runs 31 years like the Seiko! Finally, NOT a fan of the red square Frank Lloyd Wright foundation logo on all of Bulova's tribute clocks/watches. FLW would be turning in his grave seeing his clean lines spoiled with a commercial logo. Also, there are NO indices on this clock, but if you are used to that Movado look, no big deal. But for all the kids growing up today not being taught how to read an analog clock face, it would be like a dog trying to read a newspaper.

Just as pictured! Looks great on the mantle—not too big not too small. Great way to add a bit of Frank Lloyd Wright simplicity to your home. Really packed well.

Bought it years ago for the design. But the quartz mechanism stopped working. Such things are very hard to replace but at least we enjoyed the time function for a number of years. We still have it because it’s so beautiful. Last month I bought one for an old friend. That’s a statement of how much I love this little mantle clock.

As another reviewer noted, the case is lovely but the clock is garbage and stopped keeping time after a year or so. It's the exact same clock that came in a kit for a "photo clock" from my daughter's school. Probably a $3 item. I did a 30 poems challenge this past November, and I wrote a poem that I think sums up my review. Here it is. (At least I got something for my $100.) The Wrong Time The clock in my living room is just wrong: not a certain amount fast or slow but hours askance despite new batteries and random tapping on places that might be unglued It's a pretty piece sort of faux craftsman-style something with a hardwood pendulum that does not serve a purpose beyond decoration But its inner workings betray the truth: I bought it online for cheap after seeing something fancier in a museum shop So clever am I And the clock is just a tiny travel alarm of the downmarket sort hidden behind a classy exterior The thing is pretty I'd like to fix it There's someone who sponsors NPR Called the British Clockmaker But I wouldn't dare bring my Amazon clock to a man who makes clocks (for god's sake) plus, you know, he's British so that must mean all his clocks are fancy One would imagine it's he who's in charge of fixing the grandfather clock in the lobby of my building at work the one that's perpetually broken and is set for quittin' time by some maintenance guy with a sense of humor or so I presume Lost arts, these are and my pastiche timepiece is just another nail in the coffin. So my lousy modern clock in its classy antique frame Keeps time a few hours ahead of the rest of us And the British Clockmaker Listens to NPR.
