It's perfect for panfishing
I bought this to pair with a 6'6" Fenwick L rod. It was between this and another Pflueger President 20 (which I have on a UL Fenwick rod). The price point attracted me to this reel along with the positive reviews. So I purchased and have used it already on three fishing trips since it arrived. It's perfect for panfishing. The drag is smooth and responsive. Things can get a little intense when you hook into a bass with 4# test and the smaller spool. You have to take things easy, but it does the job just fine. I think I should buy more of these inexpensive, great little reels just for back ups! Would recommend.

The BEST Ultralite Reel I own
The Shimano Sienna is a fantastic lightweight fishing reel. I have the ultralite version and it performs admirably with both 2lb and 4lb monofilament fishing line. I frequently use it for freshwater and saltwater fishing, for light rock fishing, panfish, small bass, and trout. It has stood up to a variety of conditions and allowed me to land much larger fish than I would have expected, thanks to a superb drag. It's my go-to reel for ultralite fishing. Sometimes the fast retrieve speed is a little too fast for the waters I fish, but that's the only minor negative factor for this otherwise wonderful reel. Get it!

Great value
Not as smooth or durable as my (many) Stradics but a fantastic value for the money. If I was a guide I'd use these on my boat since they do the trick, hold up well and can be replaced for a song.

My bad, I ordered the wrong reel
My bad,I ordered the wrong reel. The reel arrived and it's ridiculously small. I fish in the surf for Snook and Tarpon. I can't believe how small this reel is,looks like it should be inside of a bottle. Great reel for the Grandchild catching his first guppy

This reel is the best bang for your buck
This reel is the best bang for your buck. I use it for trout fishing and it has handled some large rainbows. The bail is firm and clicky. The reel is very smooth for 3 bearing. I have had some issue with line twist but I drop shot a lot and it twists any line on all my reels. Very light and I combo it with a 5'6" okuma ultralight rod. The casting distance is good with light lures.

Great setup for ultra light.
Shimano makes great sturdy and long lasting reels for this price range. It's too bad this model got discontinued, so I bought a few of these while they were around in stores as backup for my current setup. Got this one as my pan fish reel and have been slayin under size crappies/gills/redears at a private pond for weeks now.
