Kanto YU2 Powered Desktop Speakers - 3" Composite Driver, 3/4" Silk Dome Tweeter, Built-in USB DAC- Gloss Red (Renewed)

Gosh, I am quite impressed with these speakers. I am using the USB connection (and built-in YU2 DAC )with an M2 laptop and Dell monitor. I am really into music and have a number of stereo systems up and running. I play the piano. The sound from these small speakers is impressive. Great tone, dynamics, imaging with CD quality files from Tidal. I plan to add an M&K K9 subwoofer in a day or two; the speakers are still breaking in! They are near field speakers, so 32-36 inches from your ear is best. Tilted up to point to your ear on each side. Toed in a bit. Great product!

Excellent finish and build quality. Having all cables (except the RCA subwoofer cable) included is nice. However, I upgraded cables mostly for aesthetics. I do have some cable management ahead of me since between the subwoofer and the speakers there’s a crazy amount of power and audio cables, along with a Google Chromecast Audio dongle via the 3.5mm input. Sound quality and imaging for near field in a small office setting is very good, although don’t expect much bass. I’m pairing with a REL Tzero MKIII subwoofer in the same gloss black finish and it really rounds out the sound. If you’re a bass head you may want to step up to a larger subwoofer than the Tzero. I do recommend the Kanto stands as well unless your setting puts them closer to ear level. I’d have preferred something like the KEF LSX but can’t see forking out $1400 for a desktop speaker that’ll still need a subwoofer. I also needed something smaller than the KEF. These are a reasonable compromise, especially for the price. They also appeared “as new” with no indication they’d ever been opened or put to use. I give a solid two thumbs up for my overall experience with these, considering my expectations, knowing these won’t replace my main system and the price. 👍🏼👍🏼

Very pleased with these speakers. I purchased renewed ones and they came in the original box and in excellent condition. While on the pricier side than some other competing speakers/monitors, these offer rich, loud sound that is well balanced for longer-term listening that true perfect audio fidelity (yet still remaining quite crisp). I am very happy with the build quality, size, and overall performance of these speakers.

Love them. Good quality sound. Good bass for size, though may benefit from a sub.

I took a chance on these renewed speakers because they were 80 dollars less than new. They arrived in the original packaging and the speakers and all the accessories appeared as new. Not even as much as a fingerprint on them. Couldn't be happier with this renewed product and loved the savings.

was expecting used with scratches but they are brand new and sound really good. Will sound even better with a sub. overall great set of speakers and quality.
