I'd been suffering from muscle pain in my shoulders for months and thought i'd try this pillow after doing some research on these types of pillows as a side sleeper. The pillow took a couple of nights to get used to sleeping on, but since using it my shoulder pain is gone. There are more expensive versions of this pillow, but this one does the job for far less. It has a soft feel, but has adequate firmness to support your neck. The cover is removable, so it's easy to wash.
