Ordered the RayCue for my new Mac Mini M6. I liked the port selection and SD card options since I write cards for various Raspberry Pi projects. The included NVMe storage which I use for Time Machine backups. It's 10GBPs is fine for running backups. I had the correct power adapter and USB-C cable to power the dock already. Picked up my new M6 and connected it to the RayCue. After setting up the M6, I tested all the ports and all worked fine. I've seen comments on the location of the M6 power button being an issue with the RayCue. I don't see this as an issue, just raise the back corner slightly, tap the button and it powers up fine. I own a Mac Studio and it has the power button exposed and I run my finger around until it runs across the button. To me, neither positions are a problem. Build quality is excellent, perfect match for the Mac Mini. I wouldn't buy this for the NVMe 10GBPs speed if you plan on running some large LLMs for AI. I have a Thunderbolt 4 external a with Gen 4 NVMe. I ordered the 32GB RAM option and doubled the storage to 512GB, 256GB just seems to be to small for a modern desktop. Tested a couple mid weight LLMs and the speed from external Thunderbolt 4 drive is very fast. I wouldn't buy more than 512GB based on the prices Apple is asking. I understand the environment were in, but $1000 for 1TB is extreme. Stick with a 40GBPs external and a 2 or 4TB NVMe if you want fast storage or want to run local LLMs. The M6 is going to be an excellent AI test bed for those getting into AI.

It looks like it was designed by Apple! The biggest selling point for me was the 40Gbps NVMe/M.2 SSD enclosure, which works flawlessly. I installed a high-speed NVMe drive, and the speeds are as advertised—super fast and perfect for extra storage without cluttering my desk. The port selection is well thought out. Having two USB-A ports, a USB-C host port, and a 3.5mm audio jack at the front makes it incredibly convenient for plugging in accessories. It saves me from reaching behind my Mac Mini all the time. Setup was straightforward—just plug and play, no extra drivers needed. It also raises the Mac Mini slightly, improving airflow, which is a nice touch. Overall, if you own the new Mac Mini M4 or M4 Pro, this is a must-have accessory. It expands functionality, improves convenience, and looks great on the desk.

Arrived in a day and in good condition. I like the features and design. Easy to install an working fine. Fits my new M4 Mac Mini fine. Very happy with my order. Update: I don't like the access to the power button with this dock installed. I have to lift up the Mini to turn on the power. I've noticed competitor docks have a curved corner to allow easy access to the power button. Mac is also to blame for poor product design putting the power button under the back left corner of the Mini.

If you have a Mac mini M4, then you need this hub. It allows you to connect external storage, a second monitor and other devices. It allows for unobstructed cooling, is very thin and looks like it could be a part of the Mac Mini. The integrated NVME slot allows you to install a large fast NVME SSD drive, an HDMI slot, SD Card slots, USB-C and USB-A connections. All of this in this little hub at an unbelievable price. It is aluminum for durability, full of connection options and the NVME slot for an SSD drive. It is a super value and it performs great. I love it and it gets 5 stars.

LOVE IT! Needed a few different connections that didnt come with the mac mini so decided to get a hub. This things is great!!! I love being able to plug directly into it without having to go behind the mac to do it. USB, USBC, microSD and SD card all in the front. I use microsd cards on the regular so this has made life soooo much convenient. I did not use the ssd slot but plan on doing so once prices come down on memory. The aesthetic of this is VERY apple like, it matches the mac mini perfect and looks like it's one unit when connected up. My one thought was that they could of hide the usb host port somewhere under the mac mini to give it an even sleeker look. If you are looking for a hub for the M4 mac mini check this one out!

Very happy with this though the connection/set-up is not straight forward. Once it was configured properly it hasn't hiccuped so I'm happy in that regard. Don't hear it at all, it appears to dissipate heat well so overall a good value.

The details are what matter here. The aluminum construction of this hub is nice. But it ends there. The primary USB wire that connects your bub to your mac mini fails. It's not a cable issue, it's the circuitry within the hub. What I found is that the hub disconnects from the mac randomly. It will run fine for a day or two and then it won't work. A restart seems to fix it until it fails again. The audio jack creates a lot of noise in the speakers and I had to disconnect that. Bottom line, this product is not of the build quality of others. I eventually replaced it with the Stouchi from Amazon and it works flawlessly. Avoid. I wish I had my 50 bucks back. :-(

Thanks for sending this to me. I purchased this for an existing 2TB SATA SSD that was used in a hub I had for my Mac Mini M1. When I purchased my Mac Mini M4 Pro I decided to buy a hub with an enclosure to suit my SATA SSD. This RayCue Hub is supposed to be compatible for my SATA SSD.HDMI Hub for Mac Mini M4 Pro with M.2 NVMe/SATA SSD Enclosure. Sadly the one I received is not, it continually "ejects" the SSD. This is the message I keep getting "Disk Not Ejected Properly" .....Very frustrating indeed! I have had to revert to using the M1 hub! I can not use it and I would like to return it.
