Seriously works as advertised!
I wanted to use this for a week before I reviewed it to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It actually works! I have tried EVERYTHING to get my 17 year old sassy cat to quit scratching. She was fine until I bought brand new furniture then she decided I had purchased her a new room full of scratching posts (which she incidentally doesn't like either). Yes, this does have a string chemical smell when you first spray it, but it dissipates almost immediately, leaving no odor. It did not stain my cream sofa or light blue chair. Most importantly, my cat avoids both of these pieces of furniture like the plague. Not only does she not scratch them anymore, but she won't even sit on them. I use it once a day, in the morning, as directed. After the bottle is empty, I will experiment with not using it to see if she is "trained" but I won't hesitate to purchase it again if it look like I need to keep using it to discourage the behavior. Also, it seems to have calmed her a little. She is a bit more mellow. However, I bought it for the scratching, not the calming effect. This is truly a miracle product.

10 STARS!! This Product is All You Need!
Wow! Absolutely incredible product!! Just buy it. I have two feral cats who despise each other. I had 3 Feliway diffusers going with no results. Then this product arrived. OMG! I was totally shocked. There was literally an immediate difference. I just "spritzed" (NOT sprayed) a TINY amount on their sleep surfaces. They both immediately could tell and started sniffing. They calmed down right away. I am absolutely shocked and extremely happy. This is an amazing product. It contains a 15% synthetic copy of the facial cat hormone. It literally takes all the aggression out of the cats within a day. It beats Feliway diffusers. Just buy this product. It is all you need! Much cheaper than diffusers too!

Works well but spray mechanism is faulty
This product has, so far, worked well to get my two adult cats from using new area rugs as a scratch pad. It definitely required daily spraying the first couple of weeks and because it was a 7'x9' rug x 2, i had to spray the entire exposed rugs. My only complaint is that its expensive and sprayer mechanism has crapped out with about 1/4 of the bottle remaining. I'm past the point where I can return the product so I'll try to contact the manufacturer.

Mildly Effective Cat Calming Spray
The Comfort Zone Cat Calming Spray is decent but not amazing. The calming effect is mildโmy cat seemed only slightly more relaxed. The fit and coverage for my space is good, and it feels safe to use around pets. The longevity of the effect is short, and the appearance of the bottle is simple but fine. Itโs easy to use and doesnโt generate any heat. Overall, okay, but I hoped for stronger results.

Highly highly recommend
Let me start off by saying our cat was peeing on our bed nearly every night for six months. After countless times to the vet to make sure he didnโt have a bladder infection we tried various different methods and ultimately ended up having to tarp our bed every morning before leaving. Even still, sometimes he would pee on the bed while we were sleeping. He started peeing on the bed when we got a new kitten but noticed he did it more frequently when we were gone for a long period of time (even though we had a cat sitter). Keep in mind, we built our spoiled boy a catio that he has 24/7 access to with its own litter box, we also have an additional litter box in our room with multiple litter boxes in our garage as well which he always has access to, we changed the litter several times (even once to an expensive cat attract litter) thinking maybe one would make him prefer the litter box instead of our bed (but he also never avoided the litter box, he would just use our bed when he felt like it while also using the litter box), we tried keeping our door closed and letting him in and out but keeping the kitten out of our room, nothing helped as far as altering the atmosphere of the home. We tried the comfort zone diffusers which didnโt help and had a strong burning plastic odor which bothered us a lot. So then we got him a comfort zone collar which didnโt seem to help much. Finally the vet recommended this spray and he had maybe two accidents the first week (which was a HUGE improvement to begin with) but now, it has been about two weeks without one single accident and we even went on a short trip! This has been a literal godsend for us. Iโm not sure if the collar helps at all but I will definitely be using the collar in conjunction with the spray for a long time to avoid the risk of him starting up again just in case the collar is helping in some way. Now we just make the bed, spray a couple times, and go about our day. OH, and the odor is little to NONE. Also a huge benefit. I highly recommend although I know every cat is different and responds to different things (diffusers, etc). We would never have gotten rid of our sweet boy but it was very tasking having to change and wash the sheets every single night and it was really stressing us out.

Caused Respiratory Irritation & Rendered Useless
We purchased in hopes that it would help our cats relax and decrease unwanted scratching of furniture, but we tried to use the product once and wish we never had. It claims to be unscented and odorless, but it did have a strong chemical odor. It caused me to have an asthma attack and I rarely have them. Even my fiancรฉ, who does not have asthma, began experiencing respiratory irritation. We had to hide out in our bedroom until the smell dissipated. We have even used Feliwayโs calming pheromone plug-ins for our cats before and never had an experience like this. The fact that it cause significant respiratory irritation is concerning. I certainly do not feel comfortable using it around my cats. Unfortunately, I missed our return period, but the packaging does state โ100% Satisfaction Guarantee.โ I will contact the company to see if they stand behind their 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Donโt buy It and save your time, money, and your lungs! It isnโt worth it. Go get the Feliway plug-ins. They seem to help calm our cats. They cost more, but last about a month or so which is much longer then Comfort Zone. Also, make sure to provide your cat(s) with enough enrichment, climbing/hiding areas, and scratching pads/posts. A lot of โbadโ behaviors are a need not being met or stress. Best of luck!

Smelly at first but it actually works
I have always seen "anti cat scratch/urinate" spray as gimmicky and ineffective. I purchased this out of desperation and part of a full setup for a last ditch effort to stop my cat from spraying on my sofa, fully expecting to return it because it didn't work. For context, he's fixed. We have plenty of food dishes down at all times and litter boxes, but my other cat is very territorial and quite a bully. She actively blocks him from resources, so he started spraying, likely due to stress. This spray, combined with a hormone diffuser and hormone collars, has been the only thing that has ever had any effect on their behavior. They actively avoid everything I spray with it. I haven't seen either of them so much as sit on the couch since I liberally applied this spray. I've used it on other items like my bean bag chair and office chairs to help keep him from being tempted to spray those. To my surprise, it has worked wonders. It's been a week since I started using it and not one of the cats has set foot on anything I've applied this to. They also seem much calmer and friendlier with each other. I'm hoping in time they'll be friends, but until then, this has saved my couch and other furniture for the moment. Only downsides are that it stinks at first and it's kind of expensive for a small bottle. But the smell fades fast and you don't notice it afterwards. I've applied it every day since I got it, as per the instructions, and I have to say I'm happy to have been proven wrong.

Great oil, terrible diffuser.
I was going to give it a higher review because the cats really do seem to like it. BUT the diffuser creates an oily streak up the wall above it anywhere I put it. Wasnโt as obvious on a semi-gloss white wall, but when I moved it to a colored accent wall it became very obvious. Never had this happen with any other diffusers Iโve used. Ended up modifying a different diffuser to take these refills because the mess on the wall was out of control.

Necessary stuff!
I was so excited this came today, the sixth day after ordering. Pretty fast for getting to our remote little town. (The seller was amazon itself btw) We are driving 2.5h to the vet tomorrow, with four cats who hate drives, and I only noticed at the last minute that we were nearly out of Feliway! I'm so happy we got it in time! It isn't magic, but calms them significantly which is way better than not using it. I just don't quite understand the categories of cat pheromones... is it all the same? I feel like there are at least 2 pheromones involved from the way they market the stuff. This type says it's anti-scratch but it actually works better for us than the plug-in version that comes in Classic and Multicat, for the purpose of peacekeeping. Plus, with this one, I am spared the paraffin fumes (oh my eyes and sinuses!) and fire risk of using a plug in. Plus, afterwards you have a sturdy little spray bottle. I'm definitely in love with this product! Does it work for its stated purpose, reducing scratching? Yes. I have one very nice antique persian rug, and a couple less precious ones, and a cheap, plain one. I encourage scratching on the cheap rug, and placed it at the main intersection of the home, where a cat naturally wants to place their mark. I mist this product on the nicer three rugs, very sparingly, once a week. We also have scratchers of all types everywhere. Between the designated scratching rug and the sisal posts etc, the cats are happy to stay clear of the persian rug. Now, would the spray work as well if the nice rug were the only surface in the house suitable for scratching, and was in a location that encourages scratching? I'm not sure. Why would you put a cat in such a tough situation anyway? Scratching is essential for a strong back and general good health. Please provide scratching opportunities. But yes, if you give them other options, and use this on your nice couch or rug or whatever, they WILL leave it be. And I know the spray is a crucial part of the plan because sometimes I forget for a couple weeks and then they do scratch the nice rug. I find if I get carried away with how much I use it actually seems to agitate them. Like in 1200 sq ft, I do maybe six squirts. So it lasts quite awhile. And this is a very competitive price. Worth every penny!

So far so good ๐
Almost a week of using this now, and my cat seems to get the idea I need him to stop scratching the carpet. He ignores where this has been sprayed, and occasionally scratches a little elsewhere(which I then spray) but has improved 95% since I started using this. Let's hope it stays this way!
