is it visible in daylight?

During the day, it is only visible where it lands on a surface. It is not visible in strong daylight. It needs to interact with particles of dust or rain in the air, for example, for the beam to be seen, which becomes easier to see at night.

What is the od of the case? i.e. if i wanted to mount it to something.

OD is .765 diameter. Just a note lazer doesn't shoot parallel to case on mine. In other words if you put body in vee block and rotate it, the lazer dot travels in circle. Other than that neat lazer.
