Great Laptop for uni use
Fantastic value for money. Bought for uni use, does the job perfectly without breaking the bank. Good screen size and quality, fast enough for what it's needed for and good storage. Easy to set up and connect. Recommended.

NOTHING COULD BE SIMPLER TO USE
I am 70 years old, had two brain aneurysms and as a result need all the help a laptop can give me. So far, I am blown away by how far and advanced laptops have come. This laptop is absolutely fantastic. Easy to use, performance? I'm staggered @ the speed. Battery life will never really be tested as i only use it at home during the day. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LAPTOP AND IT IS BRILLIANT VALUE.

Great laptop for the price
Bought as a replacement for my 6 year old HP laptop which was fading fast. 3 weeks in, I'm very happy: good build quality, large screen with clear definition, easy to setup and a great price for what I need it for. Perfect for every day use.

As good as new
This was a reconditioned model I got at a good price. I'm not a heavy user and so far it's been as good as new. All the keys seem to work, the screen is clear and bright and the battery recharges quite quickly. Given that it was reconditioned I am impressed with the quality so far.

Slow, glitchy and the mouse button sticks.
I realised when I bought this that it wouldn't be of the highest build quality but I was surprised at 3 things. Firstly, the screen seems to go black for a fraction of a second at random times, then return to normal. I presume this is just a poor connection between the monitor and the computer, as it doesn't seem to matter what I am doing at the time. Secondly, it is slow some times, which is remarkable because I only really use it for basic tasks such as web browsing and spreadsheet work. Thirdly, the button sticks in on the touch pad mouse. This is particularly annoying because it means you can't click on anything until you can get it to come out. I've tried to think of plus sides, but the only one I can come up with is that it is relatively quiet. I would not recommend and I won't be buying a HP again.

Graphics Issues
I bought this laptop when it was reduced to ยฃ281 and for that money it was not a bad purchase. There is perhaps a problem with HP laptops as this one is the second I've owned that had graphics issues if 'graphics acceleration' was turned on,on Google Chrome and at all times on Microsoft Edge. I sought advice from HP as to whether I should turn that function off and they said I could, but it was advisable to be left on. The main reason for the return though was that even though I only had it for under ten days, some of the keys on the keyboard were beginning to fade and at that rate I'd need stick on letters in six months. I am not always home during the day and as Amazon could not deliver a replacement to a local store, they suggested I accept a refund, re-order and that option would be available. This I agreed to, but unfortunately the price is now ยฃ450 on their site and I don't think the machine is worth that amount.
