ThermoWorks DOT — Chefs’ Favorite Simple Alarm Thermometer - Nautical Blue

I observed a friend using the ThermoWorks DOT, and was impressed how simple and well it worked. I ordered one that day, and it was delivered the following day. Super fast. I’ve not used my thermometer yet, but am looking forward to it. I have no doubt that it will work well. I would highly recommend it!

Awesome. Love the magnetic capability that allows it to stick to the back of my oven while I leave the probe in the food. Easy to clean. The alarm is super helpful. I only wish there was a way that the alarm would sound only when the temperature FALLS to a set amount from a higher amount. It only beeps when its above that temperature. Example: when I make yogurt and I want to be notified that my yogurt is at 110 so I can add the culture .. But this temperature gauge works great for all my other cooking adventures!

I love this thermometer! After years of using the old metal clip on candy thermometers I finally upgraded to ThermoWorks. The DOT works well for candy making and it was super nice not to have to calibrate it or wonder if it was accurate. I make marshmallows and as with any candy making, the temperature needs to be precise. The alarm feature is a help as well so I could set the temp and go about my business. No more squinting and trying to figure out was that 130 or 140? I did buy a silicone pot clip but didn't use it for the marshmallows. I've also used the DOT when I make yogurt. The cultures die above certain temps and this has taken the guesswork out of that. I purchased a small hard shell case from Glcon (here on Amazon) that matches my DOT. Also the magnet is strong and works well to keep the DOT in place!

Made the perfect steaks. Why estimate when you can be DIALED IN. Literally I’m a steak god now and maybe a future brisket king.

This thing is amazing! The accuracy is great and spot on! I used it to make candy. The old glass tube I was using was off by just a couple degrees but during candy making that can make or break a recipe. No issues readying the screen for the temp. The durability is great and the cord is long enough to not get in the way of anything on the stove. It is a great value for the money especially when making candy or cough drops

Love the convenience, seems accurate. The alarm is loud enough for me. Only drawback is when changing the temp, I have to push button for each degree, can't just hold it down to set up or down.

Unbelievable...Great quality product! This product works great and so easy to use. Ordering another one so I can also monitor smaller pieces of steak or chicken. Very satisfied and shipping was perfect.

After buying and trying different thermometers I can safely say that this one is my favorite! Every complaint I’ve had while using other thermometers has been solved by this one! The alarm is easy to set up and configure, the screen and base is durable and doesn’t feel like it’ll snap in my hands, and the probe is easy to connect and unobtrusive. I know it costs a little bit more than the others but in the long term it’ll save you the money you’d waste on thermometers that are going to break anyways.

It is fine device. It looks very solid. Is has sound alarm for heatin up. But, unfortunatelly, no allarm for cooling down. You cannot use it to cool down to a set temperature. No use to me. This should had been explained better.

This does exactly what it is supposed to do. I love that it doesn't come with a huge amount of complicated buttons and menus. Easy to set up and easy to use. I leave it in my oven as an 'oven temperature' gauge as I have an off-grid range that doesn't have this feature. Great for knowing exactly what the temp is at any given moment. Highly recommend!

Takes the guess work out of meat readiness. We have always battled with getting the right temperature on meat whether it was roasting or grilling. This thermometer is a game changer.
