Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, 70 cl

I bought this as a Christmas present for my brother and he absolutely loves it. He told me it’s very smooth, great quality and one of his favourite whiskies overall. I’ve bought it for him before and it’s always been consistently good. Amazon’s price made it excellent value for money compared to local shops. A fantastic gift for anyone who enjoys a top quality Irish whiskey.

Wow. This is a superb Whiskey. It's complex but so easy to drink. I drink Jameson's usually but this Yellow Spot is far superior. That said pound for pound Jameson's is probably better value for money. But I'll definitely be buying this Yellow Spot again for more special occasions.

This is one of the most interesting and flavourful whiskeys I have ever had. I did a little tasting lineup and after doing A/B comparisons this outranked almost all of them but gets edged out in flavour and body by the redbreast 12 CS. I would honestly say it's worth the money, I didn't have blue spot in the lineup (oops I drank it all) but I think that would edge out the black barrel but doesn't have that crisp finish the yellow spot 12 does This will be a staple in my home bar from now on

I'm no connoisseur but this is a beautiful whiskey marginally nicer than Green Spot, more satisfying,with the same creamy mouth feel, complex pot still flavours, spiciness mixed with an irresistible sweetness, with fruity undertones. The only thing I don't like is the price,£60 is about my upper price limit. But it's still worth it.

I decided to purchase Yellow spot due to enjoying Green spot. I was a little reluctant from a price point as when I purchased Green spot on a sale, this was £30 more. I understand this is a 12 year old with a bit more kick for your money, if you will! The nose is like sweet peppers, a bit of black pepper, but over all as I am half way through the bottle, I still think the nose is rather underwhelming. The taste with higher ABV at 46% and the kick of spice with it's fruit and rich creaminess gives it some depth, the finish is nice keeping that sweetness throughout. I don't like to compare but like many, we do not have an unlimited budget to whiskey and at a £60.00 price point on average, I think we can't help but try to justify prices. Do I think it's worth the step up from Green spot? From a price point, no. I think the Green spot, while lighter/thinner, it is more unique and has more character. Maybe not as complex or has as long as a finish but certainly yummy tasting, easy drinking! Yellow spot might be a notch above for others and more to their tasting. I really do love the taste and how creamy it can be with it's red fruits and spice, it gives extra depth that you can sit and ponder with more. I am glad I purchased Yellow spot as it is still worth to try and experience at least once! Will I purchase again? Probably not but that is not to put any one off, this is certainly a great Irish whiskey.

I wasn’t bothered about whiskey until I had a glass of this in an Irish pub this summer, now I love the stuff. I’ve since tried 12 year Redbreast and Balvennie Doublewood. Both nice whiskey’s, but not a patch on Yellow Spot. So, expensive but nothing else I’ve tried so far is as nice.

Fabulous dram, round taste, delicately smooth yet full of flavour. Smells so good I want to use it as eau de cologne. You can have it neat with no water or ice and still will not twist your face like many other do. Also goes together very well with food, especially sweet like chocolate cake or anything chocolate.Chapeau bas! Real treat. I’ll be back (for more).

Très bon single pot still de la Middleton Distillery, avec une belle mention d'âge, non filtré et embouteillé à 46% abv. On retrouve les mêmes marqueurs des Spot avec la vanille, biscuit shortbread, beurre, pain grillé et la compotée de fruits pommes, poires, prunes jaunes. C'est très bien fait, et je recommande !

Der Yellow Spot Ist ein sehr leckerer irischer Whisky. Ich kann ihn nur empfehlen. Ist letztlich natürlich Geschmackssache. Einfach mal probieren uns genießen.

Un vrai délice. Ce whisky est nette meilleur que le greenspot. Un whisky très fruité avec un goût de vanille très prononcé. Je recommande vivement. Une valeur sûre.
